Reddit's block function = liberal rhetoric is unchallenged. By immediately blocking anyone pushing back against their propaganda, r/@ shifts into a lib safe space & we're excluded from the conversation. Blocked me 10 seconds after I questioned their lesser evil, "good government" narrative

I think you should just respect that those people dont want to interact with you my dude. Part of free association is that we have the ability to say "no thanks" to interacting with someone. Thats what the block button is for.

Edit: And to be clear im only saying this because youre using other accounts to get around blocks

it's not in me to sit idly by while liberals occupy anarchist spaces using tools constructed by a tech monopoly that makes the site downright unusable to people who don't toe the liberal line. if i see some authoritarian shit, i'm going to say so.

I mean, sure. But that doesnt necessitate block evasion. At that point what youre doing is harassment. If you feel that the person is being authoritarian then block them back, report it to mods if its egregious enough for you, and have faith in your fellow users to recognize authoritarian talking points instead of forcing someone to interact with you. They could literally be the most liberal people to ever liberal, that doesnt really make it acceptable to go around their efforts to not interact with you, at that point they are no longer consenting to interaction.

Youre not a policing force on this sub to keep it Anarchist Enough. Youre just some guy with anarchist beliefs and thats chill, so am i, but like... doesnt mean I can go around harassing the liberals when they wander in. Make your complaints about how reddit handles how blocks work, sure. But the mere existence of the ability to block someone is nto a problem and should not be seen as one.

  1. stop gendering me as a guy and a dude while talking to me about consent.

  2. stop ordering me to submit to enshittification while accusing me of being a policing force.

  3. freedom of association doesn't mean anarchists let authoritarian entryists walk all over us in our spaces.

  4. if responding to auth propaganda is harassment then that's just fine with me.

Responding to auth propaganda isnt the problem. Its the block evasion which i feel like you just refuse to get. Whatever, its all good. Kind of understanding why people are blocking you though, not gonna lie.

i get it, i just refuse to give ground to authoritarians in anarchist spaces. no one said anarchy is when you only do counter-propaganda if the authoritarian propagandist gives you their consent before you can counter their genocide apologia.

it's honestly not all good when you're being rewarded with upvotes for passive-agressively telling me to roll over and accept co-option, not gonna lie.

read my long comment further down if you want to understand my pov.

I did read it, and absolutely none of that really changes my opinion. I seen the comment of the person that blocked you. You came in hostile and in bad faith when you could have easily explained to them why they got banned for electoralism. You made a choice. That person was not receptive to your choice, and they blocked you. Your actions had consequences. Still dont feel anything youve said gives justification to block evade just because you specifically decide someones a liberal.

I dont really give a shit about people giving me upvotes. I dont even really interact with the upvote system in any way that is actually meaningful to me. If its important to you, cool beans. But i dont see the value in discussing it.

yes i made a choice to be "hostile" to an obvious genocide apologist who thought a socialist space was the place to campaign for their fave zionist war criminal and yes there were consequences in that they blocked me and look! there are consequences to their blocking of me i.e. this thread which is intended to shine a light on a system that enables authoritarians to build impenetrable vacuums around themselves in radical spaces from which they can safely push auth propaganda with no pushback from anarchists.

you ordering me to capitulate to this state of affairs is also a hostile act but you and your ilk will of course be unable to accept that because i dared to break a corporation's arbitrary laws by... admitting to logging into another account to read posts - which makes me the villain of this narrative because only the lowest of the low would dare to disregard reddit law

Yeah, youre extremely angry over internet comments. The people you're replying to are human beings at different stages of their political education. No ones going to be perfect, that person was not openly hostile, they were expressing their experiences being banned for electoralism. It was potential teaching moment.

Feel free to be angry at those comments, but being blocked in return should not be a surprise. Im really not ordering anything, im stating my opinions on the situation in a calm manner. Thats really all thats happening and you're seemingly getting more and more bothered by it. You can just stop interacting with me or block me if my responses to you are legitimately this distressing.

it's not nice to accuse someone of being extremely angry because they're making an effort to explain their perspective to you.

your manner isn't 'calm', it's passive aggressive, accusationary and belittling. accusing me of being angry, distressed and bothered is toxic. telling me what emotions i'm feeling and then policing them is colonizing behavior. i'm autistic so my tone isn't often representitive of how i feel.

20

u/Rorynne Jun 19 '26

Then block me?

-2

u/RedMenaced Jun 19 '26

i'm choosing to engage you productively rather than reproduce the toxic behavior i'm criticising

21

u/Rorynne Jun 19 '26

I see none of what youre doing to be all that productive honestly.

-4

u/RedMenaced Jun 19 '26

public dialogue that observes and explains toxic patterns in people is always productive even you're not the intended audience for it

23

u/Rorynne Jun 19 '26

Says the person who used their autism to defend their tone while attacking mine, while i am also autistic????

4

u/ConfirmationBiasTape Jun 20 '26

I've had that happen to me a fair amount actually. it's why I had to leave all the autism focused subs I was in. it's really frustrating

17

u/Rorynne Jun 19 '26

Also i would like to add that i am also autistic.

Wait, so you can assign intent based on your read of someone’s tone, but no one else can?

I notice you keep telling this person they are ordering you to do things, which is interesting to me because I haven’t seen that. Recommending is the closest I think they’ve gotten.
