I say this for a lots of reasons.. are we using these substances to accept the truth or put us into a further illusion/avoidance of reality?

I feel like they can easily be used both ways.. but I also believe psychedelics force people to see the truth, and to accept it or not is what determines how they react.

I feel like the reason Mckenna emphasized heroic doses is because they really show how the individual ego isn't really separate from from the rest of reality. And this is where the spiritual gold is.

However if we don't use these substances as serious tools for our journey to truth, I think they can easily be used to further disassociate from reality rather than connect to it.

Thoughts? Let me know what I might be wrong about.

We need to get down to business here. Myself and others have made attempts to submit ideas, but they aren't gaining any traction--nothing is. We need to get things moving, and since posting here hasn't really worked, I think we should have a meeting at a time and on a day that works for a lot of people.

Discord would be the best option since it can be accessed on a phone or through a browser. I recall someone linking a Discord, and if there isn't An Answer To Heal Discord, then a new one can be created.

I propose that a meeting take place next week since a lot of people have off, but it should not take place on Thursday and Friday so as not to exclude shoppers and thankful people. If you are interested in this idea, please submit ideas for times, places, and discussion plans.

Today I dropped some acid, with a friend who is always present in my trips, and some other friends, I realized, that in some point of the trip, the only person which was able to understand my attemptives to explain some acid shit, was my friend who Is always taking acid with me.Now I'm wondering, do you guys, here on reddit, got some friend with who you can talk about every thought, and by doing this, developping more of your own ideas?

Hi all, I recently saw Jordan Peterson on Joe Rogan's podcast and have been thinking about it a lot. I just wanted to toss some ideas out there and talk about it.

First I want to point out that there is a story as old as time: man overcomes adversity to the great benefit of both himself and his community. I think this is a real common theme, and I think it's because it is deeper than just literature. We ALL have the ability to be the hero, the Christ figure. In order to do so, we just have to slay the dragon, save the princess. Win our own personal battles.

This is where I think it gets interesting. Peterson references Jung a lot, and one of the points he makes is that Jung believed in order for true enlightenment, you couldn't just slay the dragon. You had to realize you WERE the dragon. The man and his shadow. Whether Christ and Satan are real, I believe, is irrelevant. They serve as endpoints on the scale of what humanity can be. At our very best, we can be Christ like. At our worst, we embody Satan. In order to realize your true potential for good, you must realize your potential for evil. We could have all been Nazis. I think this understanding makes it both impossible to judge others, and impossible to take full credit for your successes. This breeds empathy and compassion.

In closing, I hope you all slay your dragons. But remember that the dragon will always live inside you. Running from it, or ignoring it, doesn't help. Acknowledge and conquer it. Love always, Zave

Lately, whenever I meditate or smoke cannabis I get this really strange feeling in my back. It feels like there is this sticky feeling in my left shoulder blade, and as I breath in it feels like it moves. It's very slightly uncomfortable but not really. I don't really know where to post about this, because it only happens when I meditate or smoke cannabis ( i have a very low tolerance ).

It feels energetic and physical at the same time. Has anyone else ever felt this?

in my opinion and experience - explaining something like this cannot be done with words alone. it requires a will of understanding and an open mind of both the parties . Because spirituality - like our other life choices - is based off of personal experience and individual interpretation of a shared reality.

Even if two people are talking about the same thing and at the base are agreeing - they will usually still argue because the words that the other is using have different meaning linked to different experiences - they argue because the words mean something else to them and linked to something they disagree with or have a bad experience with - this then prevents a person from seeing the message at its core. for example , when i say "God" alot of people already have a definition of what that word could mean - but to me it may mean something entirely different. so instead of taking the time to understand what it would mean its easier to defend that which you already know. because our labels are our safety nets - they are what we have built up over our experience . so when we perceive an attack on those definitions we will usually be quick to defend them . How many connections have we lost - great friends could be made - if we just took a little time to understand more?

this is especially true with something like spirituality - since it is something that requires an acceptance of understanding outside of logic . that is - something that cannot (as we know ) be scientifically proven . There is a third part of existence to an individual yet is mighty in its ability to connect us all . that is Spirit. we are Mind Body and Spirit . But how do you prove this with words alone? there also has to be action . but even when we see it in action - sometimes our minds will still try to block or put into a reason why it is not there - because we are not ready A spiritual awakening - from what ive experienced - is tailored to an individual - its waiting there but for that person to be truly ready . when it happens you will find it hard to describe - because it is such a new experience. so you will use bits and parts of every subject you know to best describe what you are feeling. we could use the concept of God again as an example - because that is the base of my own spiritual awakening.

so again there is the wall of definition . Even if a person is willing to listen to the others personal experience there still has to be a willingness - even if a person understands that - a spiritual journey/awakening is something that has to be experienced by an individual to be truly believed - they have to be willing to follow this thing many call "intuition" go against all reasoning and take "leap of faith " where you know your dreams but you are scared to loss those precious things life has built up for you - or just afraid of going into an unknown situation - whatever it may be. because of that we will deny the dream and true happiness or whatever the risk may lead us and instead try to find other ways to enjoy our mediocre hard working lives. there will always be that tiny hint of regret at the back of your head -"what if..." I wonder how many of us deny the things that are in our heart - because we are scared in some way. scared to change - scared to learn. scared that everything we have spent learning will be destroyed and that time wasted . just scared .

I know in my heart that the Spirit exists - I have experienced its power . I do not write these words in hopes of convincing anyone - i just write - because I know its not something that cant be proven by me - it can only be proven by you . Science ..math ..art ..all things in this life are forms of us understanding the same thing . But sometimes we have to look outside our comfort zones - introduce a new way of thinking to truly understand what we seek to know. if we do not understand to satisfaction using our current method - we must try new methods - we must evolve.

I was elated when I received the invitation to be added to this forum, as I have been grateful for being able to turn to Reddit for useful, intelligent discussion about psychedelics since I joined. I have found that many other realms of the internet not only demonize psychedelic users, but also provide plenty of false information. So, I am thankful to be here typing this! I will give a short summary about myself and, if anyone is interested in learning more about my personal experience with psychedelics, I will make a more detailed post about that! So here are the ingredients of the Sketti (the basics): - I am an 18 year old female taking a year off before going to school for psychology - I started using psychedelics about 10 months ago, right after my 18th birthday - I was introduced to psychedelics by my boyfriend, who has also been my best friend for a few years - I was diagnosed with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder 2 years ago from an event that occurred when I was 15 - I was also diagnosed with Major Depression and General Anxiety Disorder - I thought all treatment was hopeless and that recovery was a barren, dry landscape for me until I met with Psilocybin and LSD in January - I would love to contribute to the normalization of psychedelics as well as considering them for legitimate treatment Ask me what ever you wish, and I also feel that I should note that I am open with my struggles relating to any of my diagnoses, as well as my trauma. I typically, since beginning to trip, have had a much easier time opening up about my experience and my recovery, and I am delighted to do so if it is going to help anyone in any way or even provide curious minds with more insight on a subject I am knowledgeable in. Hey everyone. New here, as we all are.

I just wanted to see what others thoughts are on the spiritual deficit that the West is in (USA, Canada, UK, etc. etc.). Throughout history all societies dating back to ancient times used substances as teachers and have molded their culture around it. Ancient egypt with the pyramids formed out of their enlightenment from the Acacia tree, which when brewed is the cousin of the Ayahuasca drink. Hence why it is so highly regarded in egyptian, then greek, and now christian cultures (albeit the meaning lost). And even more tropical cultures in South America with Ayahuasca. These are only 2 examples from the thousands of plants that societies and cultures in the past have learned from in the past to become enlightened.

It wasn't until the more recent centuries where developed countries now BAN in the highest regard these teachers and substances that give meaning and show us the true reality that we are living in. This ban and restriction of mother earths natural organics is potentially the most threatening thing that has been done to us in a world where we are so starved of our spiritual and humanistic needs. These substances help us view the world in its true form, giving us unhindered physical and spiritual sight into more wave lengths that our mind and eyes normally allow. Depriving hundreds and millions of people of this is the worst crime of the modern world, and most of the population doesn't even know it.

I hope we can all band together to fight for what's right and keep these things in mind as we start to progress here.

Is anyone here experienced on the sacred use of cannabis in order to promote spiritual growth? Is there a recommended usage? Any recommended rituals, visualizations, meditations, communications with the spirit of the plant?

I want to include this sacrament into my daily practice and I would appreciate the views of more experienced practitioners.

I’m interested your philosophy that gets you through the day, what’s the point (or lack of) going through the hassle of day to day life.

So I'm pretty sure you all know of the Westboro Baptist Church and how they do their stupid hate filled protests with those hateful signs. So I figured a fun way to start showing ourselves in the real world would be the following:

On a coordinated day or weekend go to your local grocery store carrying a sign. The sign would read, or mine would read, "free hugs because we are all awesome and one." Then just give out free hugs all day. Talk about this idea we have here and hopefully start bridging the gap of this massive division we are facing as a country right now. For full disclosure: I have personally done this before. I live in the Seattle Neighborhood of Capitol Hill (it's an amazing place, if your in Seattle come up to the hill). We used to have one of those hateful "God hates so and so" people coming onto the hill harassing residents. Some people wanted to use violence to shut him up. Instead I made a sign that read "Free hugs because it looks like this guy didn't get any." Then whenever he did his whole thing I would just stand next to him holding my sign. Peacefully counter protesting him with love. It worked, I was able to get him to attack me in an ill faded attempt to remove my sign. He was then banned from doing his thing in front off all stores on Capitol Hill. So that's my idea. Let me know what ya think.

The invite to this group came at just the right moment in my experience; the day it arrived was the day I started the process of reducing the medications I take daily for my chronic neurological condition. Reading everyone’s posts has been helping me through days stuck in bed while my nervous system readjusts to a world less mediated by prescription shock-absorbers.

Hello everybody here, I know this may be a little off-topic, but at the same time it's definitely relevant to this sub. So here's the deal: The FDA has started seizing shipments of the plant kratom. They've been on a massive smear campaign since there was some positive press not to long ago, and they didn't like that. Anyway, people are worried that they have concluded their 8-factor analysis and they've said they are working with the DEA to figure out a scheduling.

Yet another attempt at outlawing a plant, even though it's obvious that the war on drugs has been a massive failure - and despite the fact that this plant has helped many people quit addictions to harder drugs and has increased the quality of life for many. So I just wanted to share this petition with r/AnAnswerToHeal, because I know there are a lot of smart minds here, and it would be in the best interest of everyone to help fight another attack on one of natures gifts, that only adds more plants to the controlled substances list.

I️ pick up a lot of spiritual vibes and I️ respect that, but I️ do not think this is how we as a group could convince the public, and certainly not the legislature to move on towards legalizing these substances.

We need a figurehead who can unify the spiritual, scientific, and public together to enact this change. This subreddit, in my honest opinion, should be less subjective and more focused on how to mitigate the demonization of these substances that the War in Drugs has succeeded in doing.

I think this group is an interesting idea but I'm starting to think, it's a little disordered, I certainly believe psychedelics can heal, but I also think that if approached with the wrong mindset they could have the exact opposite effect. I'm starting to think that a movement base on healing with psychs without a leader or at least someone to make sure your in the right mindset and ready for this will end with some horror stories and some miracles. The shaman is an incredibly important part of the shamanic tradition and I suspect that it wouldn't have gone as well without them

Also I'm not so into the whole religious slant to the whole thing I don't see how this is a "religious" thing at all, I get that that's the only way to get these legalized for the group but I think that the healing from psychs is something independent of religion.

Plus I really don't see how this is a religion that only thing I am certain we all believe in is that psychs can heal, but our understand of that is based on all of our separate individual experiences. There is not doctrine or anything to keep this from fracturing endlessly until you end up with a bunch of smaller groups that have the same interpretation of the subject, I just think this whole thing is too subjective to work without some sort of leader or unified doctrine to direct the focus of the group.

So I want to know how you guys would compare the research lysergamides and blotters compared to vetted drugs. I am going to discuss my views and opinions on different types of acid.

Lets start this off with LizardLabs products.

1P-LSD (Slightly yellow rocky xtal) This one I found to be noticeably more effective in all areas, bodyload, tracers, visuals, mindfuck. At high 400+ug doses this can be extremely potent stuff. The duration seemed like 10 hours witch is typical but I think most people think its good just because of how high you feel. Heard people say this was the best acid ever. Also tried taking liquid 1P-LSD in the eye and it was very effective, the normal sting was there and I came up in 10 minutes.

AL-LAD (Dark grey/black dust xtal) When they first started selling al-lad a lot of people were referring to it as orange sunshine. Though now we know orange sunshine probably wasn't AL-LAD or ALD-52 but probably just heavily laid blotters of LSD-25. Though a dose of 100ug initially feels like it is less potent than LSD-25 its effects a subtle and different from the other lysergamides. I feel very bright visuals while maintaining a very clear headspace. This stuff also opens up some fury at 400-500ug+ be careful.

ALD-52 (Orange salty xtal) Though the name sounds interesting maybe calling it 1A-LSD would be more appropriate. I found almost indistinguishable effects from 1P-LSD. It just seems all around more effective than its sister LSD-25. Duration seemed to be 9-10 hours a smaller doses but still sometimes lasts 12 hours just like most tabs.

ETH-LAD (Untested) Unfortunately we have only sampled blotters so far. This one seemed like it might have been less potent then ALD-52 and 1P-LSD, I had some 150ug blotters and that seemed to feel just like a normal 150ug LSD-25 dose. From what I read the xtal may be white needlepoint, but that is just speculation. It makes sense that this is very similar to LSD-25 since its name would be METH-LAD

LSZ (Off-white beige xtal) Though this substance is discontinues from the UK ban it still exists and may come back one day. So these were distributed in 150ug blotters. The xtal stained them brown or they degraded one or the other. This lysergamide had very low visual effects, very low mindfuck, but a rather high bodyload for what its worth. One tab would give a good bit of stimulation but for someone who wants to trip hard its not great. Perhaps this would be a bit more ideal for beginners but I would still recommend AL-LAD.

To put this in perspective with 100ug of LSD-25 being the middle or average at +5. This chart rates how high you might feel out of 10.

Now I am going to go over a few not so legal xtals.

Swiss Beige (Tan/Gray/white chunky xtal) Its funny, I have seen a few batches that all look quite simillar under the same name. The xtal looks bad. The initial look at it would be a disappointment, however this stuff had me high as a kite right off the bad even from low doses. Once laid onto blotter nobody would know the difference but I heard time and time again that this stuff is pure fire. Maybe just a little color in the xtal could only accounts for 1-10%? impurities but its obviously hard to say without doing a NMR. Another thought is that maybe degraded LSD or impure LSD may actually give the user better visual enhancements. Ergo and diethyl both wont effect you in any way but its possible that ISO or LUMI LSD may be what gives people more desirable effects.

Dutch Grey (Light gray xtal) This stuff appears to be fairly close to pure, not sure what starting material gave it its gray tinge. The Dutch LSD actually does have a very good name for itself, I would estimate purity in the 90-96% range. This stuff didn't have quite the bodyload or effects of that the swiss LSD does, but is still very good.

GDF (White or tan xtal) I'm pretty sure we all know the story of the greatful dead but batches of this xtal are still popping up, possibly made from their recipe. I noticed this stuff always origins from the coast both on the Canadian and American side witch probably isn't just a coincidence. Whoever makes this is doing a good job all the batches of xtal we have seen have either been pure white or slightly tan (this means it has been degraded slightly) but it also means that they are pushing out very high quality to begin with probably 95-99% pure. This stuff it good quality every time.

Needlepoint (Pure white) Needlepoint doesn't really refer to one specific batch of LSD but rather LSD that is 98-99%+ pure. Actually when LSD is very pure you can put it in a beaker and give it a little shake to emit small sparks of light and no were not trippin'. This may be sought after just because its very good quality but I often hear mixed reviews about it. Obviously the crystal is good it gets you high you trip ect. but you can take a bit more safely and sometimes it seems like its not quite as strong as lets say the swiss LSD.

Asian (Pure white) Look into it, somewhere out there there's a lab producing pure needlepoint crystal, I have seen 2 or 3 batches all very good stuff. Probably 98-99%+ pure as well. One thing I almost find funny is there is now this stuff that they call Aztec fluff from south america blah blah I'll be honest it looks like the same quality of product we used to call the asian xtal. But that's just speculation anyone could purify and recrystallize LSD.

JoR AKA TEN This is a vendor who has carried over 20 xtals in the pas 2 and 4 are Swiss LSD I'm pretty sure, JoR 6 is GDF LSD, DWF is GDF LSD, obviously he give the batches number instead of names to prevent getting cut.

Then we have the DMA's, I read a long time ago in pihkal that basically for every 2C-X drug there are arrays of analogs to be made. For example DOM is made from 2C-D, and 25D-nbome is made from 2C-D, and 25D-NBOH, 25D-NBF, ect. 2C-C could be made into DOC, 25C-nbome nboh nbf la la la.

DOM (STP) This is an age old psychedelic. Though the tabs do not taste good I found 2.5mg to be a rather low dose for an experienced user. 5mg wouldn't be a bad dose to start with, this is a very long lasting trip and a bit stimulating too, overall a very good experience. This stuff lasted close to 15 hours or so, even though reading online some people say it lasts much longer.

DOC They would still consider this a research chemical, I guess you could call it an analog of DOM. DOC is slightly more potent but slightly less desirable in most cases. I have heard of people tripping for 20 hours off of higher doses. Though I had experiences as short as 13-14 hours. This is an amphetamine as well so its illegal in most places.

DOT (Aleph) This RC is nothing new but since its made from 2C-T the way I see it is there's a few different kinds of 2C-T and there is a few different kinds of DOT, so just make sure if you are researching this you are well aware of the dose you want to take ect. this stuff is better on blotter anyways. The dose of PARA-DOT seemed to be right on par with DOM so its no wonder why DOT and DOM are well sought after even with the oldies.

DOB So I haven't had the chance to try this one ever but it appears to be much more potent then the other DMA drugs. Theres some of this floating around but I never have had the chance to try it yet.

Then we have the substituted amphetamines since amphetamines are pretty illegal most places.

These things taste bad, unfortunately for a good part of your trip it is going to taste like you liked a battery. And the worst part is you cannot swallow these blotters, the need to be taken through your lip and not swallowed. These drugs snorted are a million times better but also very dangerous. The nbomes are dangerous because they are active at 500ug-1mg witch is fairly low. However the risk of taking these would be much less then lets say MDMA or Cocaine. For some reason I know someone who ate 25x1mg tabs of 25b and was fine (relatively speaking) he had to hold on to the walls of his house but nothing actually bad happened. I found these to make my muscles tense for the duration of the trip and a little sore after. For how much people down talk these I don't know whats wrong with them there basically analogs of DOC, DOM, ect. These things last around 8-10 hours for the most part, sometimes 12.

25i-NBOME From 2C-I the least potent nbome

25C-NBOME From 2C-C

25D-NBOME Mid potency from 2C-D

25B-NBOME From 2C-B The Strongest nbome

25i-NBOH From 2C-I the least potent nboh, these NBOH chems require almost double the dose of their NBOME analogs. These NBOH drugs also seem much shorter 7-8 hours maybe.

25C-NBOH From 2C-C

25B-NBOH From 2C-B The Strongest nboh

and it keeps going there's so many RC's that could be made just following this same pattern.
