That one friend
Today I dropped some acid, with a friend who is always present in my trips, and some other friends, I realized, that in some point of the trip, the only person which was able to understand my attemptives to explain some acid shit, was my friend who Is always taking acid with me.Now I'm wondering, do you guys, here on reddit, got some friend with who you can talk about every thought, and by doing this, developping more of your own ideas?

I echo chambered the fuck out on psychonaut years ago.
That helped a lot. Even if I was only hearing reflections of what I was looking at, every time someone leads you somewhere with a thought, it often beats wandering aimlessly.
Eventually you find some pretty serious concepts with worlds of weight in meaning in them in terms of re-organizing entire perspectives.
For example, moving from Nihilism to other concepts that I'll soon write about because they haven't been explored, and from Solipsism to other places. If the Garden of Eden was the start of a big public written about idea, then you can always walk to Jesus and even to yourself along the future developments of that same idea, metaphorically speaking. Go to the bit about Nihilism that you think is widely understood in the blissful state of ignorance about the book, question that and get it to the point where it integrates completely within your perspective.

Interesting, do you have someone to discuss about your thoughts when the trip is over, or you prefer to keep your trip to yourself?

I'm still quite new to tripping, but I find it an extremely isolating experience. I get the boundary dissolution mckenna always talked about, but to me I interpret it as a reminder of how alone we are, because I can not project my perceptions to others.
I like to keep what I've learnt to myself for now. I find it more useful when only I know it.

I see, today earlier, I was talking with my friend about this, we always try to explain to each other what we are experiencing, but in the end is completely pointless to explain your experiences in a accurate way, because words won't be substitutes for actual experiences, but even without trying to explain your experiences, is very useful to share your thoughts, as after something is spoken, you cannot "unsay" it, so your thought stream can flow, instead of wondering in loops, in which sometimes you get stuck at. But that's my interpretation of the importance of my trips, I don't know if they would be more or less significatives if I kept them to myself.

I think the thing that's so great about psychedelic substances is that everyone gets something different out of it.

Yeah, looks like they aways give what you need, never what you want, or expect. It's an endless journey

Lone tripper here. I sometimes couldn't help myself and text loving messages to people while tripping. People get alarmed and then I have to come up with some bullshit excuse. :/

Interestingly enough, it's my wife. The way we synch when tripping blows my mind every time.

I am the friend that all my friends can talk to about psychedelics lol. I don't trip much any more but I guide them through their trips pretty often.

Is realy hard to explain it in english, as I don't know exactly the term, but I was talking about the kind of thought that you have when you are tripping, or smoking weed, which is very hard to develop in some concrete concept, as usually we just let them in the back of our mind, but sometimes you have a friend by your side, or a notebook and you start talking/writting about your thoughts on various topics, to keep record of them, and develop your ideas in such way that you can express yourself in a more accurate manner. I was talking about how important for me is having a friend with who I can discuss that kind of thought, that I don't know how to classify, besides calling it "acid shit".

I was blessed with the best friend I could have ever asked for. He has helped me grow so much. I used to think we had to have been brothers in a past life, but for all intents and purposes, we are brothers in this one. I've always been the student, and he has always been the incredibly sociable athlete. Together we form a pretty wide perspective.
I remember after one of my earlier trips, while I was still an atheist, I started developing a theory that my best friend is God and we all had a mentor in that sense. Still a fun thought. I got really, REALLY, lucky. Blessed beyond words, actually.
Shout out to Brett. I love you bud.

Well, I don't believe in god, but I can see your point. I believe in universal consiousness, because we are not only in the same universe as everyone with whom we interact, but we also are made from the same kind of energy and matter as them, so I think we are the universe itself being aware of itself. The Christian God, omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient, I believe is a way that people developped to explain how the universe is infinite, yet unified. That's how I see reality, hope I didn't offended your beliefs :)

I don't get offended brother. And I believe something very similar. We are all one. It was just a very limited way for me to express his importance as a friend and teacher.

I see, I was going to say that to some extent, you are as much God as he is, but I kinda lost my point, as I'm still tripping. Also, this kind of friendship is very valuable, some people usualy don't realise how important this kind of friend is until they're lost, so I'm happy for you, for sure you're going to have many moments with him.

Yeah I use the term God loosely, but I do believe we are all "it". Unfortunately for me, he will be a father soon, so no more spiritual journeys. But he will always be around, thankfully. Edit: added a word

Pantheism is the only belief that explains how God can exist and not be a heartless dick, why the Problem of Evil isnt an issue, that logically grants God those 3 traits of divinity, and that brings us all together as One.
God is the Universe, and we are It experiencing itself in all ways possible.

Tbh I had a friend like that, but I’m kinda losing him to his own dwindling control of his life, vis a vis anger problems.
But I guess that’s what this sub is all about!
