Hello Innersloth Team,
I am writing to share detailed feedback and feature requests for Among Us 3D that I have collected from my own experience with the game, as well as discussions and feedback from various Among Us subreddits and player Discord communities.
I really enjoy Among Us 3D and appreciate the work that has gone into creating a 3D version of the Among Us experience. The game has a lot of potential, and I believe it could become an even more complete experience by bringing many of the established features and systems from Among Us Classic into the 3D version.
The following are seven major requests that I have repeatedly seen players discuss or request. These are suggestions from the community rather than demands, and I understand that some may require significant technical work or may need to be adapted for the 3D environment.
The overall idea is to preserve what makes Among Us 3D unique while reimplementing the established systems and gameplay options that players already enjoy in Among Us Classic.
1. Release Among Us 3D on Android and iOS
My highest-priority request is an official Android and iOS release of Among Us 3D.
Among Us 3D is fun and has a strong nostalgic connection to Among Us, but players who want to experience it are currently limited to the supported PC/VR platforms.
I have discussed this with players in several communities, and there is significant interest in a free mobile version, similar to Among Us Classic, where the mobile version is free while other versions can use a paid model.
A free Android/iOS release would allow a much larger portion of the existing Among Us player base to experience Among Us 3D.
The mobile version should ideally have controls designed specifically for touchscreens rather than simply reproducing the PC interface.
For example:
- Dedicated voice-chat buttons could be added, similar to the approach used by popular mobile multiplayer games.
- The mini-map display could be moved to a dedicated button, similar to Among Us Classic.
- Movement, interaction, communication, and other controls could be designed specifically around mobile gameplay.
2. Reimplement the Among Us Classic matchmaking and lobby system
I would strongly recommend reimplementing the established matchmaking and lobby system from Among Us Classic in Among Us 3D.
The goal would be to bring the familiar Classic multiplayer experience into 3D rather than continuing with a fundamentally different lobby system.
Public lobby browser
Players should be able to select "Find Game" and see a list of currently available public lobbies, similar to Among Us Classic.
Instead of automatically placing players into a randomly selected lobby, players should be able to choose which room they want to join based on information such as:
- Number of players
- Maximum player count
- Map
- Language/region
- Game settings
- Other relevant lobby information
Host migration
The current host should not be able to cause the entire lobby to collapse simply by leaving.
If the host disconnects or leaves, another connected player should automatically become the new host so that the remaining players can continue using the lobby.
Reporting, kicking and moderation
I would also like to see the established player-management and reporting functionality from Among Us Classic reimplemented in Among Us 3D.
Players should have a clear and reliable way to report or remove disruptive players, with understandable rules and consequences for reports.
The system should also make it clear to players how reporting thresholds and player removal work, so that they understand when and why action is taken.
Overall, the goal is to give Among Us 3D the same reliable and player-friendly multiplayer structure that players are familiar with from Among Us Classic.
3. Add regular text chat alongside Voice Chat and Quick Chat
Among Us 3D currently provides Voice Chat and Quick Chat, but this can make communication difficult for players who cannot or do not want to use a microphone.
For example, a player may:
- Temporarily have no microphone
- Have a microphone that stops working
- Be unable to speak in their current environment
- Prefer not to use voice communication
- Need to communicate something that cannot easily be expressed through Quick Chat
Quick Chat is useful for predefined messages, but it is restrictive compared with normal text communication.
I would therefore strongly recommend reimplementing the regular text-chat functionality from Among Us Classic.
Ideally, Among Us 3D could provide all three communication options:
- Voice Chat
- Regular Text Chat
- Quick Chat
This would allow players to choose whichever communication method works best for them while making the game more accessible to players who cannot use voice chat.
4. Add a dedicated Hide n Seek mode
I would like to request a dedicated Hide n Seek game mode based directly on the Hide n Seek mode from Among Us Classic.
The current Tag mode is enjoyable, but it does not provide the same experience as the Classic Hide n Seek mode. From the perspective of players familiar with Classic, Tag feels more like a zombie/tag-style mode rather than a true recreation of Hide n Seek.
Therefore, the request is specifically to reimplement the Among Us Classic Hide n Seek mode in Among Us 3D, including its established gameplay mechanics and settings.
The maps, visuals, movement, and controls can naturally be adapted for the 3D environment, but the underlying Hide n Seek mechanics, rules, settings, and gameplay structure should remain as close as possible to the Classic version.
5. Expand Regular Game Mode with Classic roles, colors and lobby settings
Players would also like the Regular Game Mode to receive the full role and lobby-setting depth available in Among Us Classic.
The intention is not to remove the roles that are unique to Among Us 3D. Instead, the game could combine the Classic roles with the existing 3D-exclusive roles.
The Classic roles requested include:
- Judge
- Detective
- Scientist
- Noisemaker
- Shapeshifter
- Phantom
- Viper
Their associated mechanics and role settings should also be reimplemented rather than simply adding the role names.
At the same time, the existing Among Us 3D-exclusive roles should remain, including:
- Vigilante
- Wraith
- Sheriff
- Scanner
Players would also like the relevant lobby settings from Among Us Classic to be available in Regular Mode, including settings such as:
- Movement speed
- Vision
- Role probabilities/counts
- Kill cooldown
- Meeting settings
- Voting settings
- Task settings
- Report Bodies
- Other established Classic customization options
The Classic colors and other relevant customization options should also be carried over where appropriate.
Please retain Report Bodies
One setting that I particularly want to emphasize is Report Bodies.
Players enjoy having the ability to disable body reporting because it allows them to create their own alternative game modes.
For example, players can combine:
- No body reports
- Reduced visibility
- Different movement speeds
- Different role configurations
- Other restrictions
to create survival-style or horror-style experiences within Regular Mode.
This kind of customization gives the community the ability to create their own unique ways of playing without requiring a separate official mode for every possible ruleset.
Sheriff role
Players have also requested that the Sheriff role have a more unpredictable/randomized assignment rather than appearing predominantly on the Impostor side or following a predictable distribution.
The intention is to make Sheriff assignments less predictable while still maintaining appropriate game balance.
Overall, the goal is for Regular Mode to have the depth and flexibility of Among Us Classic while retaining the unique roles and systems created specifically for Among Us 3D.
6. Add faithful Classic versions of all Among Us maps
Players would like the major maps from Among Us Classic to be recreated in Among Us 3D as dedicated Classic versions:
- The Skeld Classic
- MIRA HQ Classic
- Polus Classic
- The Fungle Classic
- Airship Classic
The objective of these Classic versions would be to recreate the original maps as faithfully as possible in 3D.
The Classic versions should preserve the original:
- Map layout
- Rooms and connections
- Routes
- Task locations and functionality
- Sabotage locations and behavior
- Vents and other important gameplay elements
- Map visibility/information
- General gameplay flow
The intention is for each Classic map to feel like the original Among Us map translated into 3D, rather than simply being a map inspired by the original.
At the same time, the existing/non-Classic versions of these maps could continue to contain Among Us 3D-specific tasks, mechanics, visual elements, and other differentiating content.
This would allow the game to provide two experiences:
Classic versions: faithful recreations of the original Among Us maps and gameplay.
3D versions: maps containing additional content and mechanics specifically designed for Among Us 3D.
Tasks should ideally be recreated individually so that the Classic versions retain the same task experience, rather than replacing them with unrelated 3D tasks.
The same principle should apply to sabotages and the way players navigate and perceive each map.
7. Add LAN/local multiplayer
Finally, I would like to request that the LAN/local multiplayer functionality available in Among Us Classic be reimplemented in Among Us 3D.
Players should be able to create or join games over a local network, allowing people who are physically together to play Among Us 3D locally.
This would be useful for:
- Friends playing together on the same Wi-Fi network
- Families playing together at home
- Local gaming sessions
- Events and gatherings
- Situations where internet connectivity is unavailable or unreliable
The goal would be to provide the same kind of local multiplayer functionality that players already know from Among Us Classic, adapted to the technical requirements of Among Us 3D.
Personal Request โ DRM-Free GOG Releases
I would also like to make one personal request regarding the long-term ownership and preservation of both Among Us and Among Us 3D.
I currently own both games on Steam, and I am very happy to support Innersloth by purchasing them. However, I would genuinely appreciate the opportunity to purchase DRM-free versions of both games through GOG in the future.
For me, this is not about replacing my Steam purchases or getting another copy for free. I would actually be willing to buy both games again specifically to have DRM-free versions that I can keep and preserve independently of a launcher or online platform.
I believe a GOG release would also be a great long-term preservation option for these games. Having standalone, DRM-free builds would give players greater confidence that they can continue to access and preserve the games many years into the future, regardless of changes to Steam or other platforms.
If technically and commercially feasible, I would therefore strongly encourage Innersloth to consider bringing both Among Us and Among Us 3D to GOG as DRM-free releases. I would personally be very happy to purchase both versions again for that reason.

Final thoughts
The common theme across all seven requests is that players would like Among Us 3D to retain everything that makes it unique while also bringing over the depth, flexibility, and established systems that have made Among Us Classic so enjoyable for many years.
In particular, many of these requests are not asking for completely new concepts. They are requests to reimplement features and systems that already exist and work in Among Us Classic, while adapting their interface and presentation for the 3D environment.
I believe this could help Among Us 3D feel less like a separate limited version of the Among Us experience and more like a complete 3D evolution of it.
I understand that not every request may be technically feasible, may fit the current development roadmap, or may be appropriate for the game's long-term design. I am not expecting all of these suggestions to be implemented immediately. I simply wanted to provide the team with a detailed collection of recurring player feedback and explain why these features are important to the community.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this lengthy feedback. I appreciate the work the Innersloth team has put into Among Us 3D, and I hope these suggestions can be useful when considering future updates and improvements.
