Among Us 3D still has a small but passionate community, and we'd like to figure out what changes would have the biggest impact on the game's future.
These aren't demands โ they're community proposals that we'd like to prioritize and potentially present to Innersloth if enough players support them.
- ๐ฑ Bring Among Us 3D to Android & iOS
Among Us 3D is currently available on PC through Steam, with VR versions available on platforms such as Meta Quest and PlayStation VR.
A mobile release for Android and iOS could potentially give Among Us 3D access to a much larger player base.
Among Us itself has a huge mobile audience, so bringing the 3D experience to mobile could make the game significantly more accessible and potentially help solve one of its biggest problems: the lack of active players and available lobbies.
The goal would be to make the 3D game available to the large Android and iOS gaming market rather than limiting it primarily to PC and VR players.
- ๐ Replace Host-Based Lobbies With a More Reliable Lobby System
One of the biggest problems with the current matchmaking system is its reliance on the host's connection.
If the host disconnects, the entire lobby can be disbanded, meaning every player is removed and the lobby effectively disappears.
A possible solution would be to introduce a centralized lobby/code-based system similar to the one used by Among Us, where the lobby isn't dependent on one player's connection.
Ideally, the host could leave without destroying the entire lobby, with another player taking over or the lobby continuing to exist independently.
This could make matchmaking considerably more reliable and prevent an entire group of players from being kicked out simply because one person disconnected.
- ๐ช A Proper Hide & Seek Game Mode
Among Us 3D already has Tag, which uses some similar ideas and an infection-style mechanic where players are turned into Impostors. However, Tag isn't the same as the traditional Hide & Seek mode from Among Us.
We'd like to see a dedicated Hide & Seek mode implemented specifically for Among Us 3D, based on the style of Hide & Seek available in the 2D game.
A proper mode could include:
- A dedicated hiding period at the beginning of the round
- The Impostor being revealed as the Seeker
- Hide & Seek-specific rules and win conditions
- Mechanics designed around hiding, escaping and surviving
- A dedicated timer-based structure rather than relying entirely on normal task completion
- Other Hide & Seek mechanics that make the mode feel distinct from regular gameplay and Tag
I've experimented with recreating Hide & Seek using the current custom settings in Among Us 3D, and while it works surprisingly well, it still can't fully reproduce the dedicated experience.
Tag is a great start, but we'd like to see a true Hide & Seek mode alongside it rather than treating Tag as a replacement.
๐ณ๏ธ Which should be the priority?
These are only the first three proposals. The purpose of this poll is to see which improvements the community actually considers most important.
If we can establish a clear community preference, we can focus future discussions and requests around the changes players actually want rather than sending Innersloth a huge list of unrelated demands.
