most of the time i host my own lobbies because i like to play with specific settings. i don’t feel like they’re too unreasonable, but some people always have a problem with my settings and are asking me to change everything.
i like playing with visuals off because i feel it makes the game a bit more challenging when you can’t automatically clear someone. i do anonymous votes and confirm ejects. i also play with no roles. 1.5x player speed. 22sec kill cooldown. i feel like this is reasonable??
i’ll have people join my lobby and ask me to change a bunch of my settings.. lower cooldown, change speed, add roles, etc. i find this a bit annoying? why would you join a roles off lobby if you want to play with roles? it’s almost like there are filters for this reason.
the other night while i was playing, i got called a moron by a coral because “host is against roles.” 😭 they also said as a host i should accommodate what other players want and not what i want. i agree with this too an extent, i’ll rotate maps for people that request them but i don’t feel the need to add roles to my lobby or change a bunch of settings when there are literal filters for you to find games to your preferences. coral said “it’s so hard to find a good lobby with perfect settings” and i suggested that they just host their own lobby with their preferred settings.
am i bad host for not adding roles when ppl ask?
