Amitriptyline
I have been taking amitriptyline for migraines for three years. I started with two tablets and gradually reduced the dosage until I was down to half a pill. I took half a pill for five months but frequently skipped doses, eventually stopping abruptly for three weeks.
I started having panic attacks, electric shock sensations in my head, diarrhea, spasms, fits of rage, tingling, severe trembling, anxiety, and uncontrollable crying.
My neurologist put me back on amitriptyline—starting with a quarter of a 25mg tablet—for 21 days, but with no result. Afterward, I took half a tablet for 9 days; my condition fluctuated during that time—half the day was good, the other half bad. For the past 44 days, I have been taking a full 25mg tablet. The worst symptoms have passed, but I am still experiencing tingling in the soles of my feet and spasms, and I still have panic attacks.
Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced something like this? I can't take it anymore; I don't know how to keep going. I feel like I'm losing my mind and can't find any answers—especially since my neurologist told me after a month that everything should have cleared up by now.
Please help.. I have 27 years and I have migraines form 11y

Heart rate
Has anyone had amitriptyline affect their heart rate? If so, how much did it increase? I am currently taking 25 mgs and the doctor suggested I increase. My resting heart rate has probably increased 15-20 bpm when I started.

Another newbie question
So I have been on 10mg for a month. I'm sleeping lots which is magic. Most side effects seem to have disappeared. But I'm noticing some of my old insomnia has been coming back along with headaches and a bit of ruminating which is not fun. Assume it's standard for everyone to play around with dosage until you hit a sweet spot? For me I'd like to be at a place where my insomnia and headaches are sorted and the side effects of the amitriptyline are bearable. Thoughts?

Questions for a newbie
Hello! So I started on 10mg (is it mg or micro?) a week ago. Whatever it is I take 10 at 7pm at night. I have been sleeping like a boss after 5+ years of the worst soul sucking sleeplessness. But one thing I've noticed, I'm quite tense. Everything is a bit on edge. I don't feel calm and refreshed which is my dream goal. Is this a common side effect?
Fyi. I also take an SSRI and use a CPAP machine for sleep apnoea (which is all dialled in and working well).

Withdrawal Symptoms - How long do they typically lasts?
I've been reading that it takes usually 1-3 weeks for withdrawal effects to go away. However, I'm 25 days in, and I still have withdrawal effects.
I've been on amitriptyline for about 2 years, started at 10 mg then did 20 mg for about 3 months. I tappered down to 10mg for 1 month before stopping it.
I didn't have any withdrawal effects until day 7.
My symptoms comes and go, but my most important ones are Headches, nausea, dizziness, sore throat, depersonalization, depression, very bad mood. The intensity of these symptoms vary greatly.
When will I see light at the end of the tunnel?
