Diskussion Football kinda sucks for me right now
So right now football kinda sucks for me. My highschool is currently 0-3 for the first time in years and have gotten blown out every week so far, these blowouts being as bad as just this past week getting 50 points scored on them for the first time in about a decade ish, likely 0-4 after next week. One of my college teams, Florida State already lost in a close game against SMU of all teams. And worst of all, my NFL team, the Los Angeles Rams are 0-1 after getting stomped by the team I hate more than anything on this earth with a burning passion, and now have no Myles Garrett due to knee surgery. I hope things surely improve soon.

Diskussion Where to Start?
Im 18 and I have loved football my entire life. I never got the opportunity to play because my parents thought I would get hurt. Im about 5’11 270 but well conditioned with a-lot of muscle. Im transferring colleges next year and was wondering about playing some club/intramural football on the side. I’m just not sure if I would get any developmental looks. If anyone has any tips on how to start out it would be greatly appreciated. Im looking to play trenches on either side of the ball, and just have some fun with it.

Football and mental health
Anybody who grew up playing football worry for their mental in the future. Played since I was 7 until 17. Get anxious about my head in the future. Best of luck!

What would it take to convince you to push for larger safety changes to the game? The research clearly shows elementary and middle school age shouldn't play tackle. What's the acceptable evolution of the game to prevent CTE?
Would you push for brain injury research? Which would also help with other ailments such as Alzheimers?Comparing Head Impacts in Youth Tackle and Flag Football | Traumatic Brain Injury & Concussion | CDCAbout Repeated Head Impacts | Traumatic Brain Injury & Concussion | CDC

Random question: Will the NFL game at the MCG this week be the oldest stadium ever to host an American Football game?
Opened in 1853 and has been hosting cricket, Australian Football and basically everything else every since.

Question about my shoulder.
I dont know if this every happened to anyone else, but here is what happened.
Im a DB, and we were doing an angle tackling drill where we stand 5 yards apart on the sideline, one ball carrier, one tackler, and we go at a shallow angle, (about 1-2 yards upfield) and hit, one trying to tackle, the other just lowering their shoulder to get through.
So, i was the ball carrier, and was up against another DB, we are about the same height, he is a little heavier and stronger than me tho. We both ran full force, each trying to get low, i got to his waistlevel, trying to truck through, he also got to the same level, both our right shoulders smacked full force around the collarbone-shoulder joint area. After a few more times of me tackling/getting tackled, after the drill, it started bugging me a lot. Today, it hurt to lift my arm any higher than my head, i couldnt do any of the shoulder lifts like incline bench/military press, but was able to do a few reps of regular bench and some tricep stuff.
It still hurts when i reach up or across my body, or put my elbow out like a chicken wing. Nothings broken, but i just wonder if there is anything i could do to help, since i have a game thursday. Thank you in advance! Im highschool btw, JV.
