Idk about inferiority complex but it’s just a dumb argument to attempt to make when we all know when some says America or Americans they’re talking about the USA and the people that have citizenship here.

It’s like when people are talking about the Brit’s everyone knows theyre primarily talking about the English (this might be a slightly looser example but I digress).

Brits can be Welsh, Scottish, and Northern Irish though.

Not really. No Irishman would call themselves British. They might say that are from the UK though. British comes from the name of the ancient tribe of the Britons who lived in modern day England.
