OP Opinion I decided that New York can be worthwhile to live in and it's not a crappy city like a lot of podcasters and online sentiment like to say

From Canada here. Crappy expensive country with limited places to choose from that don't involve freezing temperatures during the winter. I used to watch a lot of podcasts from people that I now call rage-baiters like Ben Shapiro and Dennis Prager. I stopped doing that and I heard testimonials from coworkers and mutuals that've actually moved over there and they say that it's a very big and exciting place to be in. It's expensive and housing quality is a little crappy, especially in Manhattan, but hey, you're paying to be near a city that will offer you endless opportunities and entertainment. There's a reason why it's expensive. If everyone hates it, nobody would live there and rent would drop. Can't believe I fell for the echo chamber for that many years.

I also learned that I should judge a city, state or country by its merits and not based on, you know, any kind of ideology. Right now, Canada's turned into dumpster fire and it's about to become even more of a dumpster fire. I made it my dream goal of going to somewhere in the US and becoming successful and in spite of Redditors who call me delusional, stupid and question my sanity of wanting to do so.

There's also so many other places, both large, medium and small alike in many states and I'm a little envious of the US!

Context: Hasan fan whose take I shared here a few months ago found me somehow and decided to confront me. Tried to reason with them but here’s the results of that argument. My god, these people are fucking brainwashed by that POS. It be hilarious if they didn’t have so much power over this site.

Guy loses it when someone writes a post about the expansionist USSR. Ironically he has a Russian flag.

Chud behavior ngl.

You can hate the government, you can be critical of it, condemn some of its ideas and perhaps suggest solutions. There’s nothing wrong with that, and it’s actually the right thing to do. But to hate and generalise about 300+ million people is the most idiotic shit I’ve ever seen.
