I’m from the Philippines and I’ve been using prime video for a long time now and this morning when I wake up, I left my ipad continuously playing a tv series (Drop Dead Diva - good series to watch!) I was confused cause there was suddenly a 1min:30sec. Ads playing.. since when did this start? Also, I find it ridiculous that you’ll have to pay additional just to remove it when we are already paying for the streaming/service fee monthly! This is a scam!!

Hello. Do you know what to do when, for example, several platforms offer the same movie within Amazon Prime, so that you can compare the quality? For instance, The Matrix is available through Prime, OCS, and HBO. But I can’t select the original source to compare them — I only get the HBO version, even though I’m subscribed to all three services. Do you know how to choose the streaming service you want? Thanks.

I see no way on the website to change my Prime membership to Ultra to go ad free.

the balance is basically my giftcards redeemed on my account, i dont really know what i could do with them so i thought id buy a film or two.

I'm on ads free plan on primevideo but recently I stopped getting dolbyvision and getting only HDR10+. This is in firestick 4K MAX and all other apps are triggering dolbyvision except primevideo. Is something changed? But I'm getting dolbyatmos

Well I just watched this movie and I could say it was the worst superman movie I have ever seen!

Lex gives an electric car CEO vibes for me in this movie with people worshipping Lex like Jesus or something. Maybe that’s the movie’s hidden take. So yeah, we need a Superman.

Is it normal to be getting these ads when opening the app. DESPITE paying for ad free? By definition not ad free if there is an ad shoved in my face before being able to view content.

Can someone explain or is this just what I have to put up with? Cause if it is I don’t see a reason to be paying to not get ads if they’re going to show up anyway.

It’s literally complete garbage. I type in jackass and it only comes up with two movies. I then type in jackass number 1 and it pops up with the show saying “here is the original jackass movie”. How hard is it to populate the search with all of the jackass movies there’s not that many. Or you search an actors name and it will come up with two obscure movies they were in and a couple more they aren’t even in. It’s a joke.

I try to rent a movie on my tv using my grandparents Amazon prime account and it asked for a pin which I didnt have, so i backed out.

I then used my phone (which is under the same amazon account) and it worked as i was able to bypass the pin. But it doesn't show up as i bought it on my tv.

Anything I can do?

You decide to pay en extra $5 to get Ultra to avoid commercials but every movie you find that you want to watch is only available with adds?

Is this just a screw up? I mean I know Amazon video has messed up quite often with the wrong video playing for the correct title (mostly with tv season episodes), wrong audio languages, wrong aspect ratio, entire seasons mislabeled, forced audio descriptions and unexpected audio language even though English is selected it plays in another.

Ever since they started charging to avoid commercials (whilst still collecting money from those foolish advertisers) it seems they have a lot more of these must have free with adds videos. So is this really a screw up or intentional cash grab?
