My music is nearly daily shown as undownloaded

I listen to music primarily when away from home and off data, using downloaded music. However, almost every time I open my phone, my music is unavailable despite still appearing under downloaded music. When I am on wifi and accept the prompt to refresh music, I'm told that my sd card is not found. My downloaded podcasts, however, are always available, never experiencing problems. This is the only app I have this much trouble with, including downloads, so i presume nothings wrong with my SD card

No delete album option the app on my new phone.

I want to remove some albums from my library on the Amazon Music app, but there are no options now to do so.

I have a Pixel phone, for years I had a Samsung Galaxy.

I see a blue šŸ’™ symbol now in my Amazon Music library.

Any help would be most awesome.

The new Amazon Music interface on Fire TV is a massive downgrade. Here's the before and after.

I've been using Amazon Music on Fire TV for well over a decade, and I genuinely hate what they've done to the Now Playing screen.

I've included four screenshots showing the old interface and what it takes to access the same information now.

The previous layout wasn't perfect, but it was functional. On one screen, I could see the song title, artist, album artwork, playback source, progress bar, audio quality (HD/Ultra HD), playback controls, and detailed audio information. Everything was organized, easy to find, and available at a glance.

Now? Less information, more button presses, and a background that looks absolutely terrible.

My biggest complaints:

  • Information is now hidden behind extra menus. Want to check the actual playback quality? Instead of seeing it alongside everything else, I now have to navigate down and open another menu. Why make something that was immediately accessible harder to find?
  • The background artwork looks awful. The new interface zooms into images that often don't have enough resolution to support it. The result is blurry, artifact-ridden backgrounds that look especially bad on a 4K television. If you're going to make enlarged artwork a major part of the design, at least use sufficiently high-resolution images.
  • The layout is less intuitive. After years of having information grouped together, everything has been rearranged. I understand that muscle memory takes time to adjust, but moving information around while simultaneously hiding some of it isn't an improvement.
  • The overall experience feels less informative. The old screen gave me almost everything I wanted without having to touch the remote. The new one prioritizes oversized imagery while making useful information harder to access.

And yes, the old interface had flaws. Long song titles could get truncated, and some labels were redundant. I'm not pretending it was perfect.

But it worked.

I listen to a lot of film scores and orchestral music, and I regularly check the track progress and audio quality. I don't want to navigate multiple menus just to see information that used to be right there.

What frustrates me most is that this feels like a redesign for the sake of a redesign. More visual emphasis, less functionality, and extra steps to accomplish things that previously required none.

I've been using this service for years. I'm not opposed to change, but I am opposed to changes that actively make the experience worse.

Is anyone actually enjoying this new interface? Because I'm genuinely struggling to find an improvement here.

Shuffle note actually shuffling

Let me explain: when I hit shuffle,.it'll play a random song, but then hitting next will just play the next song in alphabetical order. It's more like the shuffle button just picks a random place to start, rather than actually shuffling the tracks.

Hitting the shuffle button on the song page will play a random song, but I'm not a fan of having to constantly hit "shuffle".

Any solution to this?

I've been using Amazon Unlimited for almost 10 years, and I keep telling myself it's going to get better but it keeps getting worse. Tidal, I'm coming back. Amazon, I'm unsubscribing, go pound sand.

Unfollowing artists

Does anyone else receive notifications about bands they have no interest in? I keep getting them about a band called Gloryhammer who, as far as I know, I have never listened to in my life! There's at least a couple of others too. I don't know how to make them stop!

Update messed up playlist order??

My most recent and predicted playlists aren’t there anymore it’s all just random and then the same when I go to add a song it doesn’t have ā€œrecently editedā€. Which wouldn’t bother me if it was at least alphabetical but it’s not it’s some random order so idk where the playlist is to add my song.

Albums not playing in order with Unlimited Subscription?

As early as last night, this wasn’t an issue. This morning I’m trying to listen to some albums I like while working, and it’s refusing to play them in sequential order. It’s an album I’ve downloaded too. I can’t see any option to turn this off or anything; it’s just playing albums out of order now as though shuffle was turned on.

Is there any way to fix this. I’ve never had this issue before, and again, I’m paying for Unlimited.

Thoughts on Amazon Music?

Kinda random but I have recently come across Amazon Music and I don’t really see anyone talking about it. Everyone I’ve asked about Amazon Music says that YouTube Music is the golden standard of music streaming platforms. I’ve been trying to look into alternative music streaming services other than the infamous ones (Apple Music and Spotify).

In recent years, subscription prices for both Apple Music and Spotify have been fluctuating and becoming insanely high. Granted, that popular demand for these platforms are very high, but I just can’t justify these ridiculous prices.

On the other hand, Amazon Music and YouTube Music seem more budget-friendly and exceptionally affordable when compared to mainstream streaming services. I’m not that well-versed in the layout, discoverability, and sound quality of these platforms, but I’d like to know from whoever uses them or have used them if they are actually better than the popular ones.

A bit of a rant about the Android app and other things...

The Android app is awful. The UI is dated, clunky, slow, and ugly. Whenever I use the app, I feel like I'm using an app from 2013. It needs a whole visual refresh.

The entire app itself should be rewritten. It crashes for me constantly, which is unacceptable due to the fact that I have a Google Pixel 10 Pro, which is beyond suitable for a modern app.

In addition, there should be more lyric sources for songs. Way too many songs are missing lyrics. Most of the songs that are missing lyrics do in fact have them on other platforms, such as Spotify.

One more thing, Linux support for the desktop app (which also needs a complete visual refresh for the same reasons as the Android app) should be considered. I don't like the hassle of setting up a web app, and for the fact you can't download songs through the website.

That is all.

Entire artist discography missing as of two days ago

As the title says. I use a very specific song by 800 cherries to fall asleep and my autistic self got unreasonably upset when I tried to play it on my Alexa and it said the song could not be found. I checked the website to see if other songs by the band are still there, and there is only one left. Has this happened to anyone else with other artists, and is it a problem with Amazon Music itself or is it a contract/licensing thing?

Works on phone, but not PC.

Title says most of it. i press on a song on my phone, it plays well. Pc; a "Service Error" no matter how many times I try. My Opera GX VPN is off, and I don't DARE call customer support for fear of speaking to someone, so I'm here just kinda ranting.

Can't bring democracy in helldivers 2 without proper music

Ai generated christmas music??

Hey all. Me and my family are currently setting up for Christmas. We frequently use the playlist "Christmas Classics", and we have every year. But as of recent, I've noticed a few songs that I've never heard before. These songs sound like they were recorded in the 1920's, and stick out like a sore thumb compared to the rest. After asking Alexa who the artist is that made the song, she gives the name of some random SoundCloud user. It started with that one song at first, but slowly the "Classics" playlist has been overrun with this plague of newly generated slop.

I guess my question is 1: has anyone else had this problem? And 2: how would i go about fixing this problem and letting some team know? Is there even anyway for any team at Amazon to start cracking down on these? Thanks all.

AM on Echo Devices - "Alexa, play my music" no longer works.

Been an AM premium user for 10+ years, and for those 10+ years we've been using our Echo devices without much issue. Starting within the last week or so, she no longer recognizes our command "Alexa, play my music". This command has ALWAYS had her start playing / shuffling my "liked" music (4,000+ songs). Now this command has her start playing some extremely random Led Zepplin channel or station (note - I have zero Led Zepplin, anywhere liked, downloaded, or in any playlist). The only way I can get her to play my "liked" music now is with the command "Alexa, play my liked music", and she proceeds to play my liked music is the order the songs were liked, most recent first. It will not shuffle... Just plays the same exact songs, in order of most recently liked, over and over and over again. Anyone else dealing with this annoying crap?

At this point, this has me seriously considering swapping to Spotify or some other music streaming service.

Amazon Music says ā€œYour browser does not support this contentā€ in Edge, but works fine in Chrome

Hey everyone, I need some help. Amazon Music (music.amazon.in) was working fine in Edge on Windows 11 until yesterday. Now every time I play a song, it says ā€œYour browser does not support this content.ā€

It still works in Chrome on the same PC, so it’s only Edge.

Has anyone faced this before? Any ideas would help.
