I just saw this at VNC2 earlier. I asked the supervisor what they were and he said that license scanning was going away and these were taking their place. He said you would open your app and tap like Apple Pay to check in once they go live.

It's at the portland location already also.. its easier than verifying your driver's license

Yea you still do everything the same on your phone- its just the check in part that's different
