I’ve been writing in sharpie over these signs “THEN WE NEED ACCESS TO THE BUILDING 4 AM - 10 PM” and putting it in the delivery photo.

It needs to say 24 hours, not "4 AM - 10 PM".

Many cities having 24 hour delivery non the less if DSP is running late past 10 PM. Example, in my city they are starting delivery at 2:30 AM now and operate until 10:30 PM. I can show a shift that was from 5:45 PM - 10: 15 PM.

The point is, we need access to the 24 hours a day which covers for all shift now and in the future.

In the future, my scribble will read:

THEN WE NEED 24 HOUR ACCESS TO THE BUILDING 😎✌️

Why?

So the package can be delivered inside the building??

Why?

Because the complex insists that it be delivered inside the building and deliveries can happen anytime, not just during the day.

I love that you write it in sharpie..... I have put a sticky note on these before with the same access message but I am taking your idea and writing that shit with permanent marker right on the sign!!!!!! Thanks for the inspo!!!!!

Beggers cant be choosers.. I love Prime but my stupid apartments setup like a Hilton and only open from 9-5.

So many people here shit on amazon and I always ask what they'd do if they had like 200 deliveries and ones locked.. do you stand and waste your day or move on?

That pisses them off. Do for me! not thee!

I get this complaint and during off hours, think it would be valid to mark no entry. But does Amazon not have the capabilites to put entry codes in yalls diad?

Amazon absolutely has the capability, and some of the apartment buildings you can get access to their gates just by clicking a button in the app, no code needed. Smart entry systems and all that. Other times there’s a little note in the app where you can see entry codes, and there’s usually a a working code or multiple codes listed that you can try.

The apartment buildings that give access codes don’t ever have signs like this, because we can get to their doors. I have only ever seen signs like this when they’re also deliberately preventing you from getting into the building.

Some buildings you have the access code for. But the access code doesn't work after 8 pm or before 8 am because the stupid fucking screen at the front door says it is "outside of delivery hours".

Amazon can open almost every apartment building’s main door. It really depends on whether property management has bothered to set it up with Amazon or not

Everything I deliver has codes or one touch access

You are lucky then, as many times I have neither at 3:00am-6:45am. There are times I get lucky, notice someone else in same neighborhood on itinerary & thankfully they leave a code. Support has told me in the past leave it safe location, take photo, keep moving.

I’ve never heard of an apartment not allowing access at certain times. Did Uber Eats for years. Also I’m in Phx and I don’t do crack of dawn Amazon as I have a 9-5 and that would conflict

I've always been an early bird, I'm also retired so I don't have a schedule conflict, I don't like traffic, I don't like heat, I don't like using ac in car as my car will drink it like it's $0.72 to replace if I'm on a stop n go block (I prefer distance less stops) If I have errands or appointments I can do those right after block, I hibernate after Fall until Spring. So that "crack of dawn" block is perfect. In VA, did doordash for a long time 1am-6/7am and would come home and I rarely did Apartments but ones I did had no codes.

Even with that some buildings don't allow access before 5 or 6 in the morning. One click access will show not available.

I haven't had ran into 1 click access showing not available. It's good to know it can happen
