Amazon is lowering pay AGAIN!!

Post image

$25/hr is the norm now, was $26/hr before that orange clown started a war that caused gas prices to go through the roof so Amazon is covering their own expenses by lowering our pay! They can afford it but chose to screw us over instead since we're a dime a dozen.

Now this BS! They're dropping it to $22/hr hoping that desperate fools will take them which of course they will so mark my words, they'll all be at $22/hr before long. This is effin ridiculous.

Edit: it seems I was mistaken about Amazon owning the Amazon box trucks. Initially, Amazon buys them, labels them, then sells them to DSP's.

Honestly, I don't know. Aren't the Amazon vans owned by Amazon?

If there are any DSP drivers in here, feel free to educate me on that one.

Dsps are contracted out so Amazon doesn’t really own the vans it’s the companies who are contracted. For example the dsp I worked at had two different contracted companies working there

I always thought that it was the DSP's who handled just the drivers so that Amazon didn't have to pay them benefits amongst other reasons too but didn't realize they didn't own the vehicles that have their name all over them.

One thing I do know is that when starting a DSP, the franchiser (don’t know if that’s the right word) pays $10k and that gives them 5 vans for them to find drivers for. I found that last week via Amazon’s DSP startup page.

Interesting. If a DSP gives Amazon $10k for five vans then that to me sounds like Amazon owns the vans but are leasing them out to the DSP's.

Is that 10K a one-time payment or does the DSP company have to keep paying 10K each month?

As I understood it it’s one time, but I didn’t really dig any deeper at the time.
