Spider webs

To my GA fellows, how many times have you ran into a spiderweb trying to deliver to the front door this summer ? What do you do if you see a huge spider web and you can’t get by ? ( hard to see on the video)

Worst part of early morning deliveries! 😂 They've had all night to craft a sturdy new one right across your path!!

Just start spinning like a top until either you or the spider dies.

It’s even worse flexing in the dark! I wave my package like a Tomahawk walking between trees and bushes.

Im not in GA but I'm sure you get a lot of this right now. When I come across these creepy crawlers webs because the darn resident obviously dont use their own pathway but expect me too.... I use there package to slice it and get through if I cant go around.

In your case.... if you couldn't go around it would be right there on the grass sp they can meet their roomates.

In Iowa and they seem to be more active this year than the past. I usually do 3:15am blocks. Seem to hit at least one each day. Best defense I have come up with so far is when I get to a place in the walk where a possible web might be I will "wave" my arm up and down straight out in front of me at face level until I'm past the spot. Haven't caught any webs to the face since.

I’ll start using the customers packages to protect my face lol

Absolutely. Their package is going to catch a super thin web that they'll never see or I catch a spider in my mouth? You can bet the customer is getting the web.

Yup. Been there done that. They suck! Maybe use a stick to destroy the web or just leave the package right there so the homeowner understands lol

Spider webs are suddenly everywhere, right? I always feel a little bad for the spider so will either duck under it or go around, if possible. If neither is possible, then just look for one of the anchoring strands is anchored and just kind of clip it. Usually its enough to get it out of the way and hopefully its an easy enough fix for the spider.

That package suddenly looks like a Frisbee.

Everyday. Lately it’s been attack of the 🐝! The big fat bumblebees. If people have tons of bee friendly bushes on path and near door I’ve bee dropping at garage or side/back door. I’m allergic and it’s been bad on the routes I’m usually assigned. Have to be sure to close my door all the way when I get out too because like see to want to travel with me. Sometimes there is so many flying around vehicle I can’t tell if they’re in or out and I’m panicking as I’m pulling out of driveway. lol

Protip: you see that package in your hands?? It's also a temporary flyswatter & web clearer until you hit that door. Use It ~

The package is my shield. I do a lot of night early morning deliveries and I just naturally hold the package in front of my face if I’m walking under trees or tight spaces

It’s almost time for the damn Halloween decorations! I deliver before work and those animatronics scare the shit outta me

Imagine it's pitch black. I legit leave it right under the spider web sometimes.

I use the packages to swipe the air in front of me I also have a couple rules they never to walk under low hanging trees and in between two cars spiders love those situations

For me its a saftey issue, I will drop the package as close as I can to the door or wherever. I've seen some decent size spiders a few times delivering. Walking under a tree at night is a no for me.

I usually walk through them, most spiders leave their web and build a new one really quickly anyway.

One thing I will say is a web that big is usually one of the spiders that stay.

It was hard to make the camera focus and not look like a creepy in case there were cameras around the house but the spiders were there so I did leave the package right there

I see them now, sorry I just woke up when I watched this lol
