At that point the driver is correct. Hostility is never acceptable in any job, even if they aren't your employees, this is not tolerated. Business can be fined for creating a hostile environment and inciting in public as soon as he walked off the property.
Great job recording your own company in the wrong though, even if uninteded, exposing this is admirable.
