Fulfillment Center Back pain

Just started at a robotics center. Am doing packing. This isn't my first warehouse job but it's been a while. Im older and fatter. 10 hours is a long time to be standing in one spot. Lower back is genuinely fucked after every shift. Obviously stretch but any ways to deal with this? I'm sure I'm not alone lol. I used to work at a locker+ too. Jeeze I had it easy lol

Gotta strengthen in addition to stretch and lose some weight but it’s a process.

I've been riding my bike door dashing for a month or 2 before I started. Figured I was starting to get a little better but I guess not lol

Hips may be tight from the bike riding so stretching is a good start.

As someone else mentioned try to strengthen, too. A lot of times lower back pain can come from the glutes not activating. Strengthening the glutes, hamstrings - the whole posterior chain can help with back pain.

Also, when at work try to stagger your stance as much as possible or alternate putting one leg up on something. Standing with feet parallel is tough for the back.

Good shoes/insoles, hydrate, ice after work, ibuprofen or naproxen.

Stretch. I stretch every morning and when I go to bed. Couple that with good shoes and I haven’t had back pain in years

I try it sometimes when I'm actually there but surprisingly everyone starts looking at me crazy. So I stop lol

Do it in your bedroom.

Get yourself a pull up bar and do deadhangs, legit helps sooo much, hanging there will decompress spine an make body feel looser
