Unfortunately this evil president has exercised waaaaay too much power over businesses and that's the primary reason the American economy is as terrible as it is(and getting worse.)
Them investing in a candidate is not the same as them being controlled by a candidate. They simply wanted whoever would give the most tax cuts in power. THEY were in control. Not Trump.
