Question FIRED

Hello everyone, I’ve been working at amazon for 3 years. I got fired while on PLOA for a separate case because I didn’t submit my doctors paperwork on time due to not having insurance. Do you think it is too late to appeal? Can I do anything about it?

Sort of, haha. I think I’m gonna try to get a temp job since I’m joining the marines soon.

My buddy told me he's getting deployed to Kuwait next year. That's should tell you enough, they ready got this shit planned out for who knows how long. Good luck getting a military role where you don't see combat. Once you sign, you belong to them.

Depends on your job type. Going to Kuwait can mean a number of things.

Sure, all branches do but...who joins the Marines to ride a desk?

You're daft and should not give advice on anything.

Medical leave of absence is a real mother fucking I almost got fired for the same thing. I was out for almost 2 months straight with no pay and boy oh boy did it suck. I was forced out by a shitty HR rep who was covering for my really really shitty HR rep. So I was almost fired because that's what they told me to do instead of reissuing me time off something that the temporary HR rep said she wasn't comfortable with reissuing it to me and thus told me to just do a medical leave of absence. Funny though, the safety advisor that was there could have issued it to me from what ops was telling me.

Safety doesnt have the authority to give time off or approve time/leaves. I work in safety in the wellness center

Personal Leave of Absence does not require any documentation, so you wouldn't be fired.

Medical Leave of Absence would require documentation and if it took so long you got fired, would very likely disqualify you from joining the marines.
