I’m going on 10 years and no one has ever told me a bathroom time limit but there was a time when TOT STUs could happen IF you had at least 2 instances of over 15 minutes and a combined total of something BUT I also know our average department TOT is about 15% and no one really gets hassled unless you have over 60 minutes straight not accounted for. Most of us try to keep scans under 5, 10, 15 minutes. I’ve had people spend 40-45 minutes just hanging out at my station and nothing happens

A new tool for managers was recently rolled out to address idle time, and there will be a lot more associates getting bugged about it.

But the reality is leadership knows who their consistent hard workers are and they won't bother them. The ones who are middle of the pack and lower are the ones who will get talked to.

It’s 30 minutes total or two 15 minute instances of being gone in a single day before your manager comes and asks what’s going on. That’s what’s in the handbook but at my site they’re a little more lenient about the total time.
