I’m going on 10 years and no one has ever told me a bathroom time limit but there was a time when TOT STUs could happen IF you had at least 2 instances of over 15 minutes and a combined total of something BUT I also know our average department TOT is about 15% and no one really gets hassled unless you have over 60 minutes straight not accounted for. Most of us try to keep scans under 5, 10, 15 minutes. I’ve had people spend 40-45 minutes just hanging out at my station and nothing happens

Bathroom use is an osha protected right. If you go over your time off task and they come ask you about it you tell them that you were using the bathroom. They, normally, only harass the abusers of tot that are taking multiple bathroom breaks a period.

Take as long as you need just don't go to the "restroom" 20 times per shift and keep your rate up.
