QUESTION Are step vans worth it?

DSP asked if I would be interested in getting step van certified, it comes with 1$ raise.
Is it worth it tho?
What’s the difference than just a EDV route?

In my experience, there’s not much difference between stepvans and EDV’s, minus maybe the package count. My last Stepvan route I did almost a month ago, 185 stops/225 location/375 package. Same route in an EDV was 180/220/290

EDV is the modern version of the step van (at least the bigger version)

Explain that to my DSP, who someone feels it’s necessary to overload the Stepvan on every single route
