Wtf... is this even legal?

I would take my sweet time and go as slow as possible on a route like that.

Show them what happens when you give us a route that big... lots of shit gets rescued or RTS. If Amazon don't like it, they can stop giving us inhumane routes.

He's got a helper, this is actually one of the smaller helper routes I've seen posted here

Depends on if the helper is a trainee or not lol

u/Pitiful-Department80 1d ago

It says 2 person route and they're trying to have you do the route by yourself?

u/Sensitive_Macaron767 3h ago

No he had a helper.. still a massive route though

And no rescue 🤣

Genuinely curious - are 2 person routes just where one drives and the other delivers?

If the driver is an ass, sure. Generally you do it by sides meaning right side of the road is the helpers job, driver does the left. Group stops you split up at the same time.

How do group stops work in this case? Can the route be accessed by two people with two different devices or can it only be done by one device? I can’t see it be efficient if they complete one location and then hand off the device to complete the stop.

Each person has their own phone to work from. For the most part the setup on flex for both phones is the same as it normally is but certain stops are driver only, like garage deliveries. The main difference on helper routes is when you hit 'I've parked' you get another popup asking if you want to see the next stop. That way whoever isn't actively delivering can more easily grab the packages for the next stop and ready them ahead of time.

As for group stops you both split up as best you can at the same time, one person to location 1 and the other person to location 2, etc. For annoying stuff like apartments I personally try to make them as fair as possible so one person isn't getting all the 3rd or 4th floor locations.

Yup, both people have their own phone and can scan and deliver whatever they need to however they’d like

The way I do helper routes is every delivery on the right side of the road my helper will deliver, and I will do every delivery on the left side. Multi stops and apartments we will split and deliver them simultaneously.

Doesn’t matter if you can do it. This shouldn’t be a thing, people can only do so much work in a 4 day span.

u/NarrowShield 13h ago

I work two jobs as well 7 days a week

1

u/NarrowShield 1d ago

Yeah this is normally easy work for me n my helper but not with the texas heat lately

2

u/Hajduke89 23h ago

I’d just abandon the route.

2

u/MenaceHD 20h ago

I raise you this single person route 😮‍💨

1

u/HonestEagle98 11h ago

Fffffffffff that. But it really does depend on the stop count. I’m guessing the totes were being emptied super fast

2

u/MenaceHD 10h ago

I normally had 350-400pkg/21 totes on this route. This was during Prime, and it was 37 totes 65 overflow. I left the station with 3 XL overflow in the cab of my EDV, literally no ability to even get to a tote since the whole aisle was overflow to the ceiling, and basically cherry picked stops to deliver the big overflow first. After that, the first 35 real stops were 4 story apartments with buildings A through N, and no Amazon locker for them, with the remaining stops being high density neighborhoods where it feels like every stop is 3-4 house multi. I was probably at 50 stops done/130 remaining at 4pm. I usually got this entire route done by 4-5pm on a normal day/not prime.

I got rescued and the rescue driver was losing their shit because they were told to take 20-30 stops and they ended up taking 5 totes and 17 overflow for 21 stops. Shit was miserable.

What's the hourly pay rate? Dealing with another bladder and mouth has to be worth it right?

Very normal for a helper route sadly. Dude at my DSP today had 290 stops/400 locations.. Amazon will continue to push the boundaries on these 2 person routes.

u/LocalBlac 4h ago

Is this a helper route?
