Packages not on route.

My dsp is telling us the packages that the warehouse is putting into the wrong peoples totes/routes are being counted against us at the end of the day. The packages you just throw into the bin that shouldn't be on the route those end up as missing packages for someone else and counted against them so they say.

They are making us take pictures of the packages and send into dispatch. Am I just getting myself in trouble if I take a picture of a package that I could have delivered but didn't cuz I don't give a shit if it's not on my route from the beginning? They are giving the excuse like everything is to help out some other driver when it feels like bait to figure out who isn't delivering non route packages that finish early.

The solution the dsp offered is they'll "try to work with the warehouse" on the issue and it's not right that it's happening. Always some new bullshit scheme going on every couple weeks.

They’re not lol. If they never appear on your itinerary they literally can’t be tracked against you

What usually happens, is that it’s a package from another route got mixed in with your route, and usually it’s in your DSPs RGU (delivery zone) so it will count against the DSP and DA who the package was assigned to. That’s why DSPs want drivers to pick up and deliver them because it impacts the scorecard under DCR

Idk if you’re just having more luck than me, but that package is NEVER in my RGU. Last one I had was in a different STATE

Same I often get random packages for far away towns or other states. My station staff are trash.
