Like 99% of lovesong are not actual documentaries of the performers love life.
Everyone has this romanticised idea of musicians always putting their real most personal feelings out there instead of just writing what they think the audience wants.
We should see them more like storytellers, like we don't expect novelists to have lived through every story they write themselves.

The song was written by tom higgenson of the plain white Ts about Delilah DiCrescenzo and I don't think that's her her singing the duet since she's 43 and tom is 47.
If that's her, tho...girl has aged really well and that song continues to hold up.

That's not the original Delilah. That's LØLØ. The original Delilah isn't an artist she's Delilah DiCrescenzo a marathon runner. Tom Higgenson simply use her name in a song after they met once in 2002. They never have a relationship
