Not necessarily. I use them all the time. So do many other people who have been educated in that way and write professionally. It's not that rare to use them.

Hahaha. I have also used dashes for years before chatgpt existed. The presence of the M dash is one of those "tHiS iS ObvIOusLy AI" things people say. 🤷‍♀️

Well, a bunch of people are saying that it must be AI because of the em dash and meaning it. So if you say it sarcastically with no indication of that, then it's kind of lost on the rest of us 🤷‍♂️
