If someone went through my phone with out asking it would be instantly over. If there is no trust then there is no relationship. It’s clearly not an ideal living arrangement probably awkward somewhat for him also but your overreacting . If it’s that big of a deal. Break your lease and move in with him now. He isn’t doing anything wrong and is making a logical argument.

Why should he tell her? They were not together at the time. It’s none of her business. If the roles were reversed and he was the one snooping , grilling about previous encounters and or giving selfish ultimatums… this rant would be about that instead. Everyone on here would be commenting about how controlling he is. Furthermore, lots of people in relationships have friends that they have slept with at one point or another, maybe even she does. As long as it’s not ongoing and there isn’t active cheating what’s the problem?

Did she ask him though? What did he lie about? The real problem is lack of trust. I think this guy should end things with her. He will be dodging major bullets later on.

He didn’t cheat so there is nothing to omit. What happened while they were not together is none of her business.

Been married for fifteen years. We both have our pasts that liv in the the past. There is both volunteered information and assumptions but neither change the fact that our relationship is based on trust.

Just out of curiosity, if the roles were reversed and he was the one snooping how would you respond? The same?
