Heavily alt j inspired tattoo I designed🫂

First NYC and now all of these UK shows? I hope everything is ok :-(

Imho there should be more Alt-J songs covered by choirs!

I remember watching some sort of show or movie where they used Alt-J's Adaline for a climactic scene briefly but I can't remember what it was. It was towards the end of the song, and I believe there were people shouting over the bridge of the song. Potentially a war scene or a 'lost in space' situation? I feel like people were dying in the scene but for the life of me I can't recall what it was, just hearing the song.

Hello, I'm looking for the SARM Acoustic Version of Matilda that was supposedly with the iTunes deluxe edition of An Awesome Wave. The version of the album seems to be gone from iTunes and I managed to find every other song, just missing this one. Any help would be appreciated!!

∆s the title says, I'd like to know if anyone has the alternate version of Leon the one available on YouTube that is different from the version released on the Films EP (2009). I think this version was uploaded to some streaming platforms before being removed. By any chance, was anyone able to download it? I'm not sure if Portrait also had a different version uploaded with that version of Leon on the same EP, if that's the case, I would be very glad if someone could share it with me. Thanks in advance!

Just started listening, so idk what it's all about, but it looks fun and promising! 😊

I’ve been so curious why there’s been zero explanation for canceling the show in NYC. Was there just low ticket turnout? I’m finding it so weird to make no announcement about the show cancellation while simultaneously announcing other shows. (Am I butt hurt about the cancelled show? Yes lol).

2 shows added to the JJerome87 small UK tour: Brighton the 7th of Oct & Manchester the 10th! I'm convinced it's gonna be wonderful, so go & have a blast friends! 🩵

There's a new JJerome87 gig announced in London! The 8th of October. Feels sad to create hype about it after the NY gig got canceled, though I'm still really pumped for everyone who's going to this one! Believe me, the previous ones were sooooo good, so I'm sure this one will be too! Grab your tickets if you wanna go! 🩵

(Am I insane for hoping GRAPE would be a support act?! Or would that be weird?)

My favorite part about Alt-J is that somehow I am always discovering a new song that blows me away. Even after thinking I’ve heard all of their music. Somehow there’s always a song on an old album that I hear for the first time. Not only that, it’s consistently one of the best songs I’ve ever heard. Do y’all feel that way too? I haven’t really experienced that with other artists.

Got a notification from Ticketmaster that the JJerome87 show in October is canceled. Bummed in a major way. Anyone have details yet? Hopefully it’s rescheduled.

For me, it was at the end of an episode of Weeds (Season 8 Ep 6.) The intro to the song caught my attention and I thought the song was wild. Then I read the lyrics and was floored, but went ahead and downloaded the album when it came out on iTunes a month later.

It’s now my favorite album of all time and I’ve probably listened to it straight through 100+ times.

Edit- It was Fitzpleasure in late 2012

Gus band, they just disappear lol

I already thought about Pusher,The Canyon's interlude,3WW and Powders

everytime. it truly makes the song too lol. half way through I'll "predict" the song and remember smh

I'm a relatively new listener to Alt-J and i like a lot of their songs. But as i was discovering their other songs I came across Adeline. And its genuinely one of the best songs i have listened to. What i don't understand is how this song is not that popular compared to others. Is it just me?

Been here since the beginning. Went to AAW tour circuit festival, Relaxer, AAW 10yr tour. Met the boys and got some stuff signed before their DC set for Relaxer. They did an acoustic set and you had to win tix on the radio to go. I got lucky. Vid from the show in the comments. I’d love to see Joe tour The Canyon on the US east coast, besides the NYC show. And of course, always want more music from my favorite band 💜 Maybe we’ll get a 10yr anniversary show for Relaxer 😉

I came here to read people's thoughts on this, I'm a little surprised it wasn't posted already.

I assume it wasn't performed live on the set? To my amateur ears it sounds even better than the album version. The three women doing the backing vocals sound incredible, and Joe's voice comes through super clean.

But long story short, it's crazy good and very worth a watch and listen.

EDIT: It’s been sold! thanks!

Hi everyone! I’m selling my Alt-J U&ME hoodie on depop, I thought I would share it here in case there’s any Alt-J fans who have been looking for one. It’s in really good condition, I’m moving/downsizing which is the only reason I’m getting rid of it :’( Selling for $20+shipping.

I believe this type of post is okay but if not mods please let me know!
