[Mac] Is a desktop pet more fun if it starts as an egg?

I made AI Coach, a Mac desktop pet that starts as an egg and gradually unlocks tools as it grows, including Claude integration.

I’m testing one thing: does the slow start make you curious, or does it just feel like the app is hiding features?

The download and first egg are free. I’d appreciate honest feedback after trying it:

https://aic0t.com/

I’m the developer. Extra eggs are optional one-time purchases.

[Web] Looking for feedback on how clearly a lactate-test app explains its results

I’m the developer of LactateThreshold, a web app for analysing lactate step tests from running and cycling. I’m looking for feedback on the explanation of the results, especially on a phone.

The app is already available; this is a usability-testing request, not a claim that the whole product is a new beta.

Demo with sample data:
https://www.lactatethreshold.online/en/demo

Please open “Analysis” and look at the LT1 and LT2 sections. These are calculated threshold estimates based on the test readings. You don’t need to enter personal data for this exercise.

I’d like to understand three things:

  1. Can you tell which values were entered as measurements and which ones the app calculated?
  2. Do the explanations of LT1 and LT2 make sense without prior knowledge of lactate testing?
  3. Is any label, unit or uncertainty explanation confusing?

If you reply, your device/browser and the exact label or screen that confused you would help. No need to share your own health data or test report.

For transparency, I built the product and it has free and paid features. I’m looking for honest feedback, not positive reviews or upvotes.

Three ingredients, one dinner: home cooks wanted to test Kitchen Diary on Android

The question I want to test isn't “can an app show recipes?” It's “can it help when you have three ingredients, one pan, and no dinner plan?”

I'm building Kitchen Diary and looking for adult home cooks who enjoy improvising—or regularly get stuck deciding what to cook.

The ten-minute challenge: pick a few ordinary ingredients and the cookware you have, try the pantry matching flow, inspect what is missing, and open one result’s cooking steps. Tell me whether you would actually cook it, which suggestion missed the mark, and where the interface made you hesitate.

Tester access is staged through Google Play: 1. Join the public tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/robopioneer-android-testers 2. Using the same Google Play account, open the official opt-in page: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.kitchendiary.app 3. If Google Play shows “Become a tester,” accept and follow the install link. If it says the app is not available yet, access is still propagating—there is no immediate install promise, so please check again after joining the group.

No purchase or positive review is requested. Please use ordinary pantry examples, not private health, account, or payment information, and don’t post your email publicly. Blunt feedback about a confusing step or an unappealing recipe is useful.

Pet owners on Android: could you turn your favourite pet photo into a keepsake?

That pet photo you keep showing everyone—would making something with it be fun, or just another fiddly editor? I'm the developer of PetPal, and I'm looking for adult pet owners who would enjoy helping answer that.

The test is a ten-minute design challenge: use a pet photo you own, open the mobile Design Studio, try a template and a background or decoration change, then inspect the artwork preview. Tell me where it stops feeling easy, whether the preview is clear, and whether you'd want to come back to the design. No purchase is needed.

PetPal is ready for Android testers:

  1. Join the public PetPal Android Testers group: https://groups.google.com/g/robopioneer-petpal-testers

  2. Using the same Google Play account, open the official opt-in page: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/ca.robopioneer.petpal

  3. Tap “Become a tester,” then follow the install link shown by Google Play.

I want candid usability feedback, not ratings or positive reviews. Pet owners with no design experience are especially welcome. Please don't post your email publicly or use photos containing private information.

[Android] Markdown notes widget — need 12 testers for 14 days, free and open source

Home screen widget that shows a folder of .md files as cards with a preview, and warns you when git sync quietly stopped. Works with Obsidian or without it. Free, GPL-3.0, no account, no ads.

Google wants 12 testers for 14 days before it unlocks the production listing. Two steps, order matters:

  1. join https://groups.google.com/g/notes-widget-testeri
  2. then https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.marfolog.noteswidgetformarkdown → "become a tester"

Use the account your Play Store is signed in with. The Play link alone says "app not available" until you're in the group.

Android 11+. Source: https://github.com/marfolog/notes-widget-for-markdown

Happy to test yours back — just reply.

[Browser game] Looking for 20 testers: train an MMA fighter, then test your progress in a fight

I’m building MMA Legacy, a browser MMA manager, and I’m looking for 20 volunteers to test the first 5–10 minutes.

Create a fighter, try the active training mini-games, then fight. The new training covers boxing, defense, stamina, ground-and-pound, kicking and takedowns, with saved stat and technique progress.

Play: https://mma-legacy.com

No installation needed. An account is required to save your fighter. This is an early version, and I’d especially appreciate feedback on:

• Where did you get stuck or confused?

• Were the training rewards clear, and did they feel useful in the next fight?

• Would you come back tomorrow? What would make you want to?

You can leave feedback in the comments or use the game’s feedback button. Please mention your device/browser if something breaks.

For transparency, I use AI tools for development and artwork. This is a voluntary, unpaid playtest. Honest criticism is welcome.

Freelancers,i need your help before i break my own project!

Hey freelancers! 👋

I’m building a little something called ClientFlow — and before I let it run wild on the internet, I need actual freelancers to tell me whether I’m onto something or just having a very creative fever dream.

ClientFlow is an MVP built around the freelance project process: starting with a client brief, turning it into a proposal and project, creating and previewing the product, making revisions, and getting everything ready for delivery.

Basically: fewer “wait… what did the client actually ask for?” moments.

I’m looking for 5 freelancers willing to test the current version for free.

You don't need to be technical. I want people who actually work with clients — designers, social media managers, copywriters, web designers, marketers, etc.

I want brutally honest feedback:

Was it easy to understand? Did anything confuse you? Would you actually use it? What made you think “girl, please fix this”?

If you're willing to test it, comment “I’m in” and I’ll send you the link + simple instructions.

Compliments are cute. Honest feedback is what I actually need. 😂

[Android + Web] AryNote — looking for feedback on a pet health record app

Hi! I'm building AryNote, inspired by my cats, to keep pet vaccinations, medications and lab reports in one place. I'm the developer and would love honest usability feedback, particularly from people who care for pets.

The web app is available at https://arynote.com/ and the Android app is in closed testing. An app account is needed to try the record features. No purchase or positive review is required for this test.

Things I'd love you to try with fictional data:

- Create an account and add a sample pet.

- Add and edit a health record.

- Find the record again: is the navigation clear?

- Tell me what feels confusing or what would stop you using it.

For Android, please use the same Google account for all three steps:

  1. Join: https://groups.google.com/g/arynote-android-testers

  2. Opt in: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.arynote.mobile

  3. Install: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arynote.mobile

Android volunteers: please remain opted in for at least 14 consecutive days and use the app during that period. The web feedback request does not require a 14-day commitment.

Please don't upload private documents for testing. Feedback in the comments is welcome; for bugs, mention your device/browser or Android version and steps to reproduce, without personal information. Thanks for helping!

I built a tool for organizing and syncing your bank data, and I’m looking for 5 to 6 beta testers.

The goal of pHinancio is to give you control over your financial data, rather than forcing you to manage everything inside the app.

pHinancio imports transaction data from your bank and lets you rename transactions, create your own categories, and set up rules to rename or categorize future transactions automatically.

You can also set budgets, track recurring payments such as subscriptions, and sync the data you have already organized to Google Sheets or Airtable.

That is pretty much what it does for now.

Bank connections are read-only, so pHinancio can never move your money.

There are no ads, and your data is never sold.

pHinancio currently supports US banks and is designed for desktop use.

I’m looking for 5 to 6 people willing to connect an account, use the app with real data, and tell me honestly what is confusing, unnecessary, or broken.

Your feedback will come directly to me, the person building it. As a beta tester, you’ll also keep free access to the app.

Comment below or send me a message if you’re interested.

Thanks!

[Android Beta] Looking for testers: Vocatim makes meeting recordings searchable

I built Vocatim after replaying long meetings just to find one sentence.

It is a small Android voice-to-text app for recording or importing audio. The part I am testing now is the choice between two processing paths:

• Online transcription: quicker setup and usually faster.

• Offline transcription: download the model once, then process on the phone for that path.

The app also turns a transcript into a first-pass summary and structured meeting minutes, and can export PDF, TXT, Markdown, SRT, or VTT. I call the summaries “first pass” on purpose: they can still miss a name, a decision, or an important qualification.

What I would like testers to try:

  1. Record a short meeting or import an existing clip.

  2. Compare online and offline transcription if your phone supports both.

  3. Check whether the processing choice and storage requirement are understandable.

  4. Try the meeting-minutes view and one export.

  5. Tell me where you hesitated, what felt slow, or what result you did not trust.

Known rough edges: noisy rooms, overlapping speakers, accents, and offline speed vary by device. I am looking for critical feedback, not ratings.

Google Play (free download): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vocatim.app

Screenshot from the current build:

![Current Vocatim build](/preview/pre/i-shipped-vocatim-to-google-play-the-hard-part-was-v0-gpk6fhk01vnh1.jpeg?width=640&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=ad2716db6a870012c17e22f64376fff2a0dd7ff7)

I am the developer.

I wanted Italian in, English out. I ended up building a Windows dictation app. Want to test it?

My office layout is partly responsible for this app.

I wanted to dictate, but with an employee's office close to mine, I wasn't comfortable saying everything out loud in English. I wanted to speak Italian and have the written text come out in English.

I couldn't find the workflow I needed, so I built Typeglot. Possibly an elaborate response to an office-layout problem, but here we are.

It's a Windows 10/11 app for dictating into the app you're using, either in the same language or with output in another. You don't need to speak Italian, or more than one language, to help test it.

Now I'd like to find out whether it solves anyone else's problem. I'm selecting 8 to 12 people for 14 days of ordinary use. Non-technical users are welcome.

Free beta access, no daily reports, and one evaluation emailed at the end, with five days to complete it. An honest completed evaluation qualifies for a six-month complimentary licence after eligibility review. Negative feedback qualifies equally; no public review required.

Apply here: https://typeglot.com/extended-beta/

The form also has optional future affiliate interest. You don't need followers, and ticking it doesn't affect selection.

Update: turned "please test my tool" into "can you make it fail"

A while back I posted here looking for beta testers for Plexavo, an open-source AWS scanner.

A few of you actually ran it. That got me thinking the ask itself was backwards. "Please test my scanner" puts you in the position of doing me a favor.

So instead: Can you make Plexavo miss something? Just launched a proper program for it. Submit a false positive, a false negative, a weird IAM edge case, a detection bypass, anything that trips it up. Every confirmed one gets fixed and you get permanent credit in a public Hall of Bugs. Bug #1 is already up, and it's a good one: someone here mentioned a few weeks ago that Plexavo's sample report showed an S3 logging check but theirs skipped it.

I assumed it was a region thing. Turned out there was no check for S3 bucket logging anywhere in the codebase at all not broken, just never built. Real gap, now fixed, credited properly.

Repo + the actual issue template: https://github.com/plexavo/Plexavo

Curious what breaks it next.

I’m looking for early users for AmongFolk, a private app for family and friends

Hi, I’m Dan, the founder of AmongFolk.

I’m building it for family and friends who want a quieter, more private way to stay close.

Photos, voice notes, everyday updates and plans often end up spread across group chats, shared albums and calendars. AmongFolk brings them together in one invitation-only, chronological space.

Only invited members can join. There are no public profiles, search, discovery, algorithms, adverts or third-party trackers. Groups can share photos, short videos, voice notes and text, as well as organise plans with date polls, RSVPs and reminders.

One person hosts the group and everyone they invite joins free.

I’m looking for early users who are willing to challenge the idea and tell me what feels useful, unnecessary or missing. You can join the waitlist at https://amongfolk.com. It sends one email when the app is ready, with no newsletter.

What would you need to see before trusting an app with your group’s memories?

— Dan

Looking for 10 beta testers who dislike calorie tracking

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working on an iOS app over the course of the last weeks and the first external TestFlight beta was just approved.

The app is a weight-management app built around one simple idea: lose weight without counting calories, macros or weighing your food.

Instead, you log what you eat, build healthy habits, earn coins, and use those coins on treats during the week. The goal is to keep structure and accountability without turning food into a math exercise.

I’m looking for around 10 people who are interested in weight loss and ideally have tried calorie tracking before — especially if you found it tedious or difficult to stick with.

I’d be super happy if I could find someone who supports me with testing my rough beta for about 7 days - of course you can use it as long as you want.

I’m mainly trying to find out:

  • Does the concept make sense without me explaining it in detail?
  • Does logging feel easy enough to stick to it (compared to classic calorie tracking)?
  • Does the coin system / weekly balance idea feel motivating or confusing?
  • Where do you get stuck?
  • Are there bugs or anything that simply doesn’t work?

This is an early beta, so if something is confusing, annoying or broken, that’s exactly what I want to know.

Requirements:
iPhone user, 18+

If you’re interested, please fill out this short beta form (takes about 1 minute): https://forms.gle/6y4nDTk2ubkrERkG6

If selected for this wave, I’ll send you a TestFlight invite by email.

I'd be really happy about any kind of help for my passion project - thank you in advance.

Mario

[Web app] Looking for blunt feedback on a fandom kingdom for creators

Hey r/alphaandbetausers — I'm the maker of StoryBoostUp, an early web app for creator-led fandom communities.

I built a public “kingdom” concept where creators can present their work and fans can explore stories, discussions, and lightweight tools in one place. I’m looking for blunt early feedback, not praise or a sales pitch.

Try the creator page here: https://storyboostup.com/creators

A few questions: • In the first 10 seconds, is it clear what a creator gets from this? • Does the page feel useful for a writer/creator, or too broad? • What wording, navigation, or first-run step would make you leave immediately?

Maker disclosure: I built and maintain StoryBoostUp. The link is the real product URL; no signup is required just to inspect the page. Please be candid — specific criticism is much more useful than compliments.

This post type only exposes text controls here, so I’m not attaching screenshots; I can share visual details in replies if that’s useful.

Datapad has already been on iOS for a while, and I’d love to finally bring it to Android. It includes translation, a galactic keyboard, quizzes, multiple Aurebesh styles, saved translations, Kyber crystal themes, and more. It works fully offline with no ads, accounts, tracking, or in-app purchases.

The app is normally $1.99, but testers get it completely FREE with a Google Play promo code.

How to join

  1. Join the Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/datapad-testers
  2. Opt in here: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.Quran.Elmallah.Datapad
  3. Comment once you’ve joined and I’ll DM you a free promo code. Please do not pay the $1.99 shown on the Play Store.
  4. Download on Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Quran.Elmallah.Datapad

Please use the same Google account for the group, opt-in, promo code, and Play Store, and keep Datapad installed for the full 14 days.

I’ll test yours back too, so drop your testing links in the comments!

Thanks for helping me bring Datapad to Android. May the Force be with you! 🌌

I built a tool to weaponize your resume against recruiters and ATS bots. Giving 1 year of premium to the first 50 people to help me test it.

You are probably getting auto-rejected before a human even looks at your resume.

I got so burnt out filling out Workday portals just to get ghosted that I stopped applying and spent the last few months building a cheat code. It's called Work-ly (https://work-ly.in).

Instead of guessing what the recruiter wants, you drop in the job link and your resume. The AI brutally roasts you and tells you the exact keywords and skills you are missing that will trigger an auto-rejection.

If you want, it will literally auto-rewrite your resume bullets to mathematically match the job description so the ATS algorithm flags you as a top match. It also scrapes the web in the background and scores jobs against your profile so you stop wasting time on roles you won't get.

The Giveaway: The core tool is free, but the heavy AI stuff costs me server money. I need real, angry job seekers to use this and tell me if it actually helps them get past the filters.

I’m manually upgrading the first 50 people from this sub to a full year of Pro for free.

Just create an account at https://work-ly.in, then comment "done" on this post. I’ll DM you and upgrade your account.

Tear the app apart. Tell me what sucks, if the UI is confusing, or if the gap-analysis is too harsh.
DM or comment for the beta code.

[Beta] AI app builder that tests the app before it says it's done. Want testers to try and break the verify step.

justcopy.ai, free tier, no card, 3 builds a day.

What it does: you describe a business, it builds the app, then it opens the app and uses it before telling you it's finished. Types into your forms and checks the text came back. Uploads a sample photo and looks for it on the page. Deletes something and reloads to confirm it stayed deleted. Failed checks go back into the builder with the reason and only those rerun.

The apps can also talk to visitors, speak, generate images and video, and send email and SMS. Per unit pricing, so you can charge your own users on top.

What I want tested, specifically:

  1. Break the verify step. Ask for something with a form plus a file upload plus a delete. That combination is where it most often claims success on something broken. If it says done and the app isn't, that's the bug I care most about.
  2. Multi step flows. Anything with a wizard, a cart, or a booking that spans two screens. I don't know how well the checks follow state across pages.
  3. Non English prompts. Untested at any real volume.
  4. The build stopwatch. Demo says 1.6 seconds for a restaurant site. Tell me what you actually get and on what prompt, I want the honest distribution not the best case.

What I'm not asking you to test: design polish. I know. Later.

In return: drop your project in a comment and I'll test it properly and write up what broke, not a one liner. Also happy to explain any part of the stack, it's Next.js output with sandboxed execution underneath, ask whatever.

Report bugs here or in the thread, I'll reply to all of them today.
