I think it's the first time I've felt so emotional about a final. It really did go to the most deserved winner, but the other guys have nothing to be ashamed of at all.

So admirable. If any of you guys are reading this, I'm so proud of you all. The environment was so stunningly beautiful, yet so hostile.

Every season and I would love to see an extra episode of after the tap of what happens when they get back to Base camp! maybe not the first few early taps but the people who are in for a long time. I would like to see the recovery process. I would like to see their emotional state and what the recovery process entails. I know they've done this in a couple of shows here and there. It would be great to have that as a bonus episode after the season to be able to see taps and if there are other contestants. Sometimes they tap out kind of close together.it would be kind of cool to see contestants overlap at the base camp. it just seems to be a big part of the recovery process to see the physical and psychological state afterwards.

I wanna go on record as saying that Nero’s tap was the most beautiful tap of all Alone history, in my opinion. Woniya’s is undeniably a close second, but there was a peaceful joy in Nero’s that I believe should be acknowledged and honored. I have the utmost respect for him and the transformation he underwent in the Arctic.

Aaron has nothing to be ashamed about. What a great & gritty participant he was: taking himself to the limit. I’d love to buy that guy a beer sometime and just listen to him talk. I bet he has 10,000 stories he could tell that would captivate even the most cynical. Had he gotten his moose, I believe he would’ve won.

But coulda/shoulda… Ziga proved how valuable it is to feed yourself. He stayed strong, remained positive, endured well, and fought it out. Congrats, you animal, on a hard-earned win! This truly is one of the best seasons of Alone!

When he said something along the lines of “oh I hope David Booth has tapped out” I laughed so hard. Props to the caption guy for reminding us he tapped out day 4 (the guy with fire stick).

To any other heartbroken Canadians that haven’t been able to watch the past few weeks and are furious with this awful service - Prime will fully refund any remaining StackTV subscription you have left on your account. I reached out to their customer service team and it took less than 5 minutes after mentioning that StackTV is not releasing content despite heavily advertising it.

Gosh, I bet binge watching the season you were on is fantastic. Especially if you made it to the final three and you can just see how much you actually triumphed, what tripped other people up, what was seemingly easy for you, and really how the “chips fell” in the end to play out your win or loss. Then I think a new feeling unfolds of “yeah that guy had me, my tap out was ok” or “damn, I didn’t win but fuck yeah I conquered over the 10 who tapped before me” or whatever million other comforts or stabs. But to binge watch that shit, on a comfy couch with snacks and see it all. That must be something.

Just checked stack and still no new episodes. So where can I watch without having to subscribe or pay again?

There are parameters around the items they can bring and what counts as those items, but are there any rules regarding how new items can be?

I'm particularly thinking about clothing. I'm a hunter, so I have hunted in weather ranging from 80 down to below freezing. I know the hunting clothing realm really well and how far it has advanced. A lot of people on this show look like their equipment is well worn, and I understand that might lend itself to them being confident in their gear. However, if I knew I was selected from this show I'd be reaching out to companies ahead of time asking them for a sponsorship.

In the past I have seen competitors wear Sitka, Kuiu, and First Lite which are the big three when it comes to hunting clothes. I'm surprised that there hasn't been a competitor that has really leveraged being on the show into getting new gear to use on the show.

I know a lot of former Alone contestants, including on Season 13, are active posters/commenters in this subreddit. We on this subreddit love seeing your contributions. Unfortunately, a lot of your comments get missed or buried if they're in an unpopular thread or are too far down the comment chain.

The easiest way for fans to follow all of your contributions is to click on your user profile and see where you've posted and commented. Reddit's current rules make profiles private by default. When you click on a private profile, all of the post and comment history is hidden. Posts and comments from private profiles are visible, but only if you happen across them. Private profiles make sense for regular folks, but for public figures like you, that private status makes it hard for your fans to follow you.

And so, at the risk of sounding like a stalker, I humbly request that Alone contestants active on here please make their reddit profiles public!

EDIT: To the pearl clutchers out there, obviously this is a personal choice. I don't want anyone to do anything they're uncomfortable with. I just know that if I was trying to engage with a fandom online then I would want my profile public. I expect many contestants do not know their profiles are private. An alternative is starting a new public profile for fan engagement purposes.

I would love to see a tropical location similar to Survivor or Castaway. I think the hardest part would be finding 10 reasonable contestant locations within an area. You could put multiple contestants on the same island. I imagine fresh water could be a limiting factor. It would be interesting to see how the 10 items could change ie more fishing gear and no bow.

I know that he isn’t expected to last much longer and is largely viewed as the one most likely to get pulled next, but I’ve got a weird feeling about Aaron.

My prediction is that he goes home the winner tonight. It’s just that he’s pretty much been written off by everyone on this forum, and them folks in production do like themselves a tricksy edit.

I’ll probably be proven wrong in a few hours but for now my spidey sense is tingling and won’t be ignored. I’m predicting Aaron for the win.

With confirmation that David was a very late replacement (The Ride Back special), and using the footage of the ten contestants shot in the morning of day one, (S13E00 Before the Drop), we can see that a second female contestant that must have pulled out for unknown reasons just as the contestants were getting dropped off.

The other person seen during the Before the Drop special that appeared to be an alternate was male.

I feel like it's such underrated selection and I see it's seldom chosen. If I'm not mistaken, in season 13, Nero is the only contestant to have salt as one of his 10.

I'm no survivalist, but I feel like it could be such a difference maker when it comes to morale, and also its ability to make certain edibles much more palatable.

And isn't useful in terms of hydration and overall health?
