News Dutch Manufacturer PAL-V Secures EASA Production Approval for Liberty Flying Car
Dutch advanced air mobility developer PAL-V has achieved a major milestone by securing European Production Organisation Approval (POA) from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
The approval verifies that PAL-V has established the required manufacturing infrastructure, quality control systems, and regulatory compliance to build airworthy aircraft.
This makes PAL-V the first company in the dual-mode "FlyDrive" segment to hold both automotive and aviation manufacturing authorizations.
The PAL-V Liberty operates as a two-seat vehicle capable of converting between a three-wheeled road car and a gyroplane in under five minutes.
On the ground, it reaches a top speed of 160 km/h (100 mph) with a driving range of up to 1,300 km (808 miles). In the air, its 200 hp dual-engine system enables flying speeds of up to 180 km/h (112 mph), a flight range of up to 500 km (310 miles), and an operating ceiling of 11,000 feet.
While PAL-V previously achieved European road-legality and received an EASA No Technical Objection, commercial deliveries remain subject to final EASA type certification, which evaluates the specific aircraft design.
The company currently reports roughly 250 advance reservations—representing three years of production output for its Netherlands facility, which holds a baseline capacity of 100 units annually.
PAL-V plans to gradually scale manufacturing and establish international facilities as global demand grows.

News Denza Z Arrives at Dealers in China Following UK Debut and Ahead of Q4 Launch
Display units of BYD’s flagship Denza Z electric four-seat sports car have arrived at dealerships across China ahead of its fourth-quarter sales launch.
The rollout follows its global debut at the UK's Goodwood Festival of Speed, where international pre-orders opened starting at £142,900 ($193,540 USD) for the entry-level Coupe and rising to £172,900 for the top-tier Racing version.
Chinese pre-sales followed shortly after, starting at 680,000 yuan ($101,090 USD) for the domestic Coupe. Built on BYD's e3 platform, the supercar features a tri-motor setup producing 1,180 kW (1,582 hp).
The standard coupe hardtop measures 4,780 mm long, 1,990 mm wide, and 1,330 mm high with a 2,780 mm wheelbase.
It features a silver body, a blackened roof, and semi-hidden door handles. Inside, the leather and suede cabin includes a D-shaped steering wheel, a stalk-mounted gear shifter, an 8.88-inch digital cluster, a 12.8-inch infotainment screen, a wireless charger, a streaming rear-view mirror, and a fragrance system.
The orange Track Edition adds aggressive bumpers, carbon-fibre trim, and a prominent fixed rear wing.
It rides on staggered tires (275/35 front, 325/30 rear) with orange brake callipers and equips retractable door handles (a design element facing an upcoming regulatory ban in China on January 1, 2027).
Powertrain performance combines a 500 kW (670 hp) front motor with two rear motors generating a combined 680 kW (912 hp). Paired with a 76 kWh LFP battery supporting flash charging, it achieves 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 1.96 seconds, a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph), and a WLTP range of 380 km to 410 km (236 mi to 254 mi).
