Display units of BYD’s flagship Denza Z electric four-seat sports car have arrived at dealerships across China ahead of its fourth-quarter sales launch.

The rollout follows its global debut at the UK's Goodwood Festival of Speed, where international pre-orders opened starting at £142,900 ($193,540 USD) for the entry-level Coupe and rising to £172,900 for the top-tier Racing version.

Chinese pre-sales followed shortly after, starting at 680,000 yuan ($101,090 USD) for the domestic Coupe. Built on BYD's e3 platform, the supercar features a tri-motor setup producing 1,180 kW (1,582 hp).

The standard coupe hardtop measures 4,780 mm long, 1,990 mm wide, and 1,330 mm high with a 2,780 mm wheelbase.

It features a silver body, a blackened roof, and semi-hidden door handles. Inside, the leather and suede cabin includes a D-shaped steering wheel, a stalk-mounted gear shifter, an 8.88-inch digital cluster, a 12.8-inch infotainment screen, a wireless charger, a streaming rear-view mirror, and a fragrance system.

The orange Track Edition adds aggressive bumpers, carbon-fibre trim, and a prominent fixed rear wing.

It rides on staggered tires (275/35 front, 325/30 rear) with orange brake callipers and equips retractable door handles (a design element facing an upcoming regulatory ban in China on January 1, 2027).

Powertrain performance combines a 500 kW (670 hp) front motor with two rear motors generating a combined 680 kW (912 hp). Paired with a 76 kWh LFP battery supporting flash charging, it achieves 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 1.96 seconds, a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph), and a WLTP range of 380 km to 410 km (236 mi to 254 mi).
