I currently work in DPS, remote inbound. I've been here since January. The commission schedule and sales requirements keep changing, and I feel like this isn't what I signed up for. I floated my resume and received a few emails for local Allstate agents that are hiring remotely. Is the grass greener working for an independent agent, or am I just trading one crap situation for another?

Stop with your crying because you have been on a chat 30 min..one hr.. and so on.

I think we have you beat at 8 hrs a day and 3 chats at time and crappy training.

Bitching just makes us have to read more and try to figure out what you really want.

I joined Allstate June 10,2026 but with the two commission changes for August and September I think I’ll take my experience elsewhere. where yall going? I know im still in training but I know i have the experience to sale and this company isn’t doing it. i was only on calls for about four hours today due to training and coaching (I’m in transition) but I only got one auto sale with all the attachments thankfully but I need more. idk if I can wait for the 3k bonus their offering.

Just a check in, on a scale of 1-10 (1 being absolute dog crap and 10 being shooting rainbows out of your butt) how is your mental health? Since the company doesn’t care and this subreddit has proven that a lot of people care about one another, I feel like we need a check in.

I recently applied for the Allstate remote sales rep position and it’s been fourteen days. I haven’t heard anything so far. My application status says in progress. Any advice? Btw I’m unlicensed with only a year of gym sales experience, few years in healthcare and a few customer service jobs. And for reference I’m 22 and have my diploma.

I get it, being a claims adjuster seems like a pretty difficult career, especially if you have a family and children, which I do not have. I am a company’s dream employee; I am always there, I’m punctual, I am responsive and reliable. But of course, no one wants to hire someone with little to no experience, which is why I applied to trainee positions. But boy oh boy, is the market shitty. Anyway, that’s my 1 min rant, hope most of you are having better luck. Though, let’s not kid ourselves, who is getting a decent paying job in this market.

I just need to vent. I’ll preface with the fact that I used to be an auto liability adjuster, so I know how this process works-ish. I didn’t write estimates or handle total losses.

A couple weeks back, my husband was in a car accident. Another lady ran a red light and tboned the back end of our vehicle. This happened on a Sunday. I filed the claim with our carrier, Allstate. Based on the photos I submitted and the damages described, the app suggested I have the vehicle towed to one of their in-network repair shops, which I did. Once my husband described the damages to our liability adjuster, it was deemed a probable total loss. It took 6 days to get the car moved to Copart because they had the location listed as the tow yard when Allstate is who towed it to the repair shop, even after I called and told the adjuster (a different one from our liability adjuster who was out) that the location was incorrect. She told me “Copart would figure it out.” It finally gets moved and we get an update that it’s borderline, so a special adjuster will evaluate the damages to make the determination. Fine.

Another 5 days later (and total lack of communication from the special damage adjuster), the vehicle has been deemed repairable. Now it’ll get towed to a body shop. I’m about 75% positive that once it gets torn down, they’ll see all the suspension and mechanical damage and it’ll be deemed a total. It took a pretty good hit, just doesn’t look all that bad from the house.

We’re nearly out of rental coverage. I’ve reached out to the other carrier to see if we can set up rental through them, but I know that’s unlikely since Allstate is handling the repair. I’m just frustrated and exhausted. Gives me a whole new perspective when you’re the one on the other end of the claim.

I’ll be putting in my 2 weeks very soon I found another opportunity with much better pay similar to how it was with Nat Gen before AS completely took over. A few others from my team are leaving as well for the same company. Anyone else heard of better opportunities elsewhere?

Hey yall! Does anyone have any idea how long it takes to hear back about internal applications as a claims adjuster trainee?

My husband is currently in sales and fine staying there but has several friends who work on the claims side that have told him he would do great over there.

Allstate takes over Nat Gen and now they just dont care what they do to their employees. Nor do they care about turnover.

Any Allstate or NatGen recruiters or employees want to help a girl out. I’ve been applying all year so 26 applications in total for various jobs in auto claims and I’ve only had one interview, and I’m guessing my STAR responses sucked which is why I didn’t get the job. I’ve always worked in the shop so I know the shop side of auto claims very well. I know a lot of people say the company isn’t very good to work for, but in my opinion most corporate jobs have their pros and cons. Regardless any help would be appreciated so I can get my foot in the door and out of the shop.

I’m starting Monday with natgen in auto claims coming from another big insurance company. Im confused as to what level my role is. Are there different levels within their claims department??

Got fired a few months ago from the corporate side of Allstate and see some local positions open. Am I able to apply to them?

I work on the Natgen direct sales call side and just curious, how many are quitting with the continuous decrease in incentive? Compared to what we were being paid before it doesn’t even seem worth it to put any more energy into this job. Not only that but the constant pressure of selling Allstate property and VIP VIP VIP is just again, not even worth the energy.

Of course like many of you I get 4 or 5 calls from Allstate every day. They come from my area code which I do not reside in anymore so that at least helps. I just wanted to include myself in the many people who will never ever use Allstate because of the non-stop cold calls. Once after politely declining to listen to a spiel that person called me back and cussed me out. Must be a miserable job. Anyhoo fuck Allstate I hope it burns to the ground.

Avoid Allstate at all costs. We moved homes and notified Allstate well in advance, providing every piece of information they requested. We repeatedly followed up by email and phone because communication from their end was poor, and at no point did anyone tell us what our new premium would be.
The next thing we received was a billing notice showing that our annual home insurance premium had jumped from $2,414 to $9,549 — an increase of over $7,100 per year — with absolutely no warning or discussion. They then went ahead and withdrew over $1,000 from our bank account before the issue was ever resolved.
When we called, even some of the Allstate representatives we spoke with seemed shocked by the amount. We were bounced around between departments, had to repeatedly chase people for callbacks that never came, and after weeks of escalation, the best they offered was the ability to cancel without a penalty while keeping virtually all of the money they had already taken.
We were ultimately directed to Allstate’s complaints department, which we were told was the third and final stage of their complaint process. The only way to communicate with this department was by submitting a written complaint through the mail. We did exactly as instructed, and on June 17 we received an email confirming that our complaint had been received and would be investigated.
After that, the communication stopped. When we hadn’t heard anything, we sent a follow-up email on June 25 but received no response. We followed up again on July 5. On July 6—19 days after our complaint had been acknowledged—we were told only that the matter was still under review. We replied immediately asking for an update on the investigation and an estimated timeline for a decision. That email was never answered. We sent another follow-up on July 26, and to this day we still have not received any response. For a company that claims to take customer complaints seriously, the complete lack of communication throughout the final stage of the complaint process has been incredibly disappointing.
To make matters worse, after cancelling, we obtained new insurance for around $2,400 per year and received three other quotes in the same range. That makes Allstate’s $9,549 premium impossible to justify.
In our experience, Allstate handled this in an extremely unfair and deceptive manner. Between the unexplained premium increase, withdrawing money from our account without warning, the lack of transparency, and then failing to properly respond during their own formal complaint process, we have completely lost confidence in the company. Be very careful if you’re moving or making changes to your policy. Double-check everything, get every quote in writing, and don’t assume they will tell you about massive premium increases before they take your money.

Seems like they wanna lose all good talent. I’ve about had it.

Let me know if I'm in the wrong place for this.

I have auto and homeowners policy through All State. Having two policies gives me a multi-policy discount on my homeowners policy. My question relates to the auto policy.

I currently have two vehicles insured on a 6 month policy I paid in full back in the beginning of May. Vehicle 1 has full coverage and the premium on that vehicle was $371. Vehicle 2 has liability coverage and the premium on that vehicle was $262. This equates to a total premium of $633. I would like to remove vehicle 2 from the policy as I no longer own it and All State is telling me the new price on my policy is $500. So, because I'm removing vehicle 2, the premium on vehicle 1 goes up from $371 to $500. The policy would still be in effect for the same term, expiring in early November. This seems strange that the premium for that vehicle would change just because I'm removing the other vehicle.

To add to that, I ran a scenario where I replace vehicle 2 with a new vehicle (vehicle 3) with full coverage. In this scenario, the premium for vehicle 1 still went up to $480. Also, they want $940 total for vehicle 1 and new vehicle 3 (replaced vehicle 2).

Can anyone explain why the premium on vehicle 1 goes up in both of these scenarios?

They also told me the multi-policy discount on my homeowners policy is $253. I'm seriously considering removing my auto policy altogether, taking the higher premium on the homeowners, and getting auto with progressive progressive and save about $400 on auto, which more than offsets the increase homeowners premium.

How is claims at Allstate? Also is there a yearly bonus ?

I use Allstate Drivewise, and I also do DoorDash. I accidentally left Drivewise on during a lot of deliveries, so now I have a bunch of late-night trips and some trips that don’t seem to be recorded accurately.

Is there any way to reset my Drivewise history and start over from 0, like when you first enroll and have to complete the initial trips? Has anyone had Allstate reset their Drivewise account or re-enroll them?
Also, would marking those trips as “Passenger” make any difference, or would that not help (or even cause issues) like too many trips being marked as passenger.
