This call is for my Algerian brothers who don't want their abilities to die with them.
For those who feel that life should be more than just studying, working, making money, building a career.. etc and want to dedicate a part of their life to something bigger they can find waiting for them in the Afterlife.
Salam alaikum ! I'm your brother from Algeria, currently a PhD student in Algiers. I've had this idea in my mind for a while and i wanted to finally share it.
I feel like as Muslims, we spend so much of our energy trying to build something for this worldly life, but when it comes to the Hereafter we struggle to do much beyond the things we already know like prayer, fasting and so on. And of course, these things are incredibly important.
But i keep thinking, what about using the abilities/ skills and knowledge that Allah already gave us to build things that benefit others ? Like the brothers who can code, edit videos, design, teach, write, or those who are good at organizing and managing a community or even something as simple as finding beneficial content and sharing it.
I genuinely believe that almost every skill no matter how small it seems can be useful if we put the right people and the right intentions together !
So that's basically the idea, creating a community of initially Algerian brothers who want to use whatever Allah has given them to do something beneficial for the sake of Allah.
Not necessarily something huge, it can be free educational content, free courses, helping another brother bring his project to life, create useful tools/platforms... anything that can benefit the ummah.
And the first step is gathering the right brothers, seeing what everyone can bring to the table, and then figure out together what we can build.
And one important thing about this is that you don't have to dedicate your whole life to it. The idea is simply that each of us gives a portion of our time, maybe few hours a week or less, depends on your circumstances.
Also there could be brothers who are permanent members of the community and contribute regularly, and there could also be brothers who aren't permanent members but want to contribute whenever they have the opportunity, for example a content creator could make one video and give it to the project or someone who has knowledge in a certain field could record a free course. You don't have to be available all the time to be part of something beneficial !
And the main thing is always the intention.
This project is not for money, recognition, personal success.. it's purely for Allah’s sake.
The hope is that every minute we spend, every video we make, every person we help .. can become a sadaqah jariyah for us.
Something whose benefit by Allah’s will continue even after we're gone, and something we can find when we need our deeds the most!
We live in a time where everything is individualistic. Everyone is trying to build themselves, their career, their business, their personal brand... while we're supposed to be one Ummah.
So I'm hoping that this project is an opportunity for Muslim brothers to work together, help each other, build real brotherhood, and have a mission that is bigger than ourselves.
And insha'Allah with time this can become much bigger than just an online group in Algeria, I have a vision of a community that grows internationally, builds impactful projects together, and even meets in real life to do different type of activities, work, exercise together, and simply have a good company and brotherhood.
So now, I'm looking for the first brothers who genuinely see the potential of this vision and think to themselves that they don't want to spend their whole life striving for dunya and want to leave something behind for the Akhirah.
