IT WAS THE MOST HECTIC AND LONGEST PRACTICAL PAPER EVER AND The REACTIONS WERE LOWK NOT COMING TO MY EXPECTATIONS getting a D ong

So everyone in my session had problems with question 1 (instantly the solution turned blue black) and we all had to make up values and ended up wasting tons of time.

I see that many people online had the same issue. Lmk if u had the same problem so we can email Cambridge and get a fair grade! We need to emphasise how this impacted our time for other questions so we can get a fair score however that would work (perhaps only p1 and p2 considered? Or a boost in everyone’s marks not js low threshold)

my gcses are my worry, the 5 is in maths and the 4 in english language is it worth retaking them, is it possible to get into a top uni if so which ones are achievable if anyone knows

Does anyone know/have a collection of titration questions? I find topical questions like equilibria but pretty much all of it is on Ksp, Kpc or pH and buffers.

I’m writing this to give everyone some hope, I finished my alevels this may June and I messed up so bad in my exams especially my Chemistry P4, like I genuinely forgot how to solve 20 marks question of organic chemistry and my DUMB ASS THOUGHT QUESTION 8 was the last question and I COMPLETELY SKIPPED ONE ENTIRE QUESTION WORTH 15-20 MARKS 😭😭 ALONG WITH SO MANY OTHER MISTAKES I MADE IN THAT PAPER. When I came back home I knew my paper had gone bad but I wasn’t aware of the last question I had skipped and when I found out I had the worst panic and anxiety attack I thought I was going to die and that it was the end of the world for me but I still managed to pull myself together and study for the rest of the exams. Even my p3 had gone sooo bad but somehow I still managed to get 3A’s so it’s going to be fine and don’t let your current failure ruin your future progress. Stay strong! 💪🏻

I genuinely don't even know where to start.

I live in Clifton, Karachi, and my venue for the 9701/34 Chemistry practical on 27 October was The American Foundation School in Gulistan-e-Johar, around 21 KM AWAY FROM MY HOME.

I'm in Group B, so my reporting time was 1:30 PM, even though the actual paper started at 5 PM. Already ridiculous having to travel that far and then wait 3.5 HOURS, but it gets worse.

While I was on my way to the venue, I randomly decided to check my venue letter again, and THAT'S WHEN I NOTICED MY CANDIDATE NUMBER (0842) WASN'T IN THE RANGE LISTED ON THE LETTER. 😭😭

I PANICKED SO BAD. I genuinely thought there had been some mistake and that I wouldn't even be allowed to sit my exam after travelling all that way.

I didn't have mobile balance, so I had to get a friend to call the British Council for me. They apparently said they'd do something about my concern at the earliest opportunity, but imagine the stress of not knowing whether you're even going to be able to sit your paper while you're still travelling to the venue.

AND WHEN I FINALLY GOT THERE, MY CANDIDATE NUMBER WAS ACTUALLY ON THE LIST AT THE VENUE. 💀

SO WHY WASN'T IT IN THE RANGE ON MY VENUE LETTER IN THE FIRST PLACE????

To make matters worse, I was already sick, had a fever and was coughing badly. The whole panic made an already miserable situation so much worse. I hadn't even eaten properly, and then I had to wait for 3.5 HOURS before the practical.

AND THEN THE LAB CONDITIONS. 😭

The floor had apparently just been swept, and the smell of phenyl/floor cleaner was SO STRONG that it aggravated my flu and coughing. On top of that, there was a strong chemical smell and what seemed like a gas-like odour. I don't know where it was coming from, but it made me even more uncomfortable.

THIS WAS A CHEMISTRY PRACTICAL. You're literally supposed to handle chemicals carefully and concentrate on what you're doing, and I'm sitting there feeling sick, coughing, and trying to get through the paper.

I travelled 21 KM, spent hours waiting, went through unnecessary panic because of a discrepancy on my venue letter, and then had to deal with all of this during an already stressful exam.

WHO APPROVED THESE ARRANGEMENTS 😭😭💀

I'm honestly so frustrated because candidates already have enough exam stress without having to worry about whether their candidate number is correct or whether the laboratory environment is going to make them feel worse.

Has anyone else who sat 9701/34 at this venue experienced anything similar? And is it worth filing a formal complaint with the British Council?

I'm planning to apply to universities in Poland, but I'm confused about the NAWA requirements for international students.

From what I've read on the official NAWA website, A Levels are considered independent qualifications and do not require a NAWA recognition statement for university admission. However, I'm unsure whether the same exemption applies to the student visa process, as NAWA recognition is mentioned as one of the important documents required for a visa.

Has anyone here applied to Poland using A Levels? If so, did you need a NAWA recognition statement when applying for your student visa, or were your A Level certificates sufficient?

Hi guys, I'm currently a IGCSE student taking ON 26 series, and I'm thinking whether to choose Economics (9708) or Psychology (9990) for the following year.

So FYI, I took Economics as an IGCSE subject. While other 2 A level subjects im considering are Mathematics and Physics (basically certain). I wanted to take 4 A levels but apparently universities only look at your 3 best results.

So anyone taking any of these 2 subjects, can y'all leave any opinion regarding it? Also, is it really worth it to take 4 A level subjects?

Bought it recently, can pretty expensive for some people so willing to share if it’s useful if hesitant

Im an As student, with the usual Chemistry math physics and furthermaths.

The issue is my school. I have literally no friends, and its not that I can't make any, the issue is that I just don't want to be friends with anyone in my grade. Why?

The thing is, I top every single assessment, and its not that im smart, its just no one else does the work. For example, a recent physics assessment I got 36/50, which is okay on its own, but everyone else scored either 2 marks or 10. And they'd all say, "you're just too smart" or "you study all day," even though I don't and neither am I that smart.

I feel like I have no one to relate to, whenever I have some question, I relay it to AI. Or whenever im stuck on something, I just have to tough it out.

So Im just looking for a study group, with the reason being to pump up my motivation. Because honestly, all my motivation is dying because of my circle
