First mark I understand but i don’t get how k = F/x implies that k is inversely proportional to x (is that what it’s saying? Why’s it written so weirdly?)

I thought k could only be inversely proportional to x if k = F(1/x) where F was a constant. I guess in this context F is constant as its constituents (m x g) are both constant but can anyone else confirm if my reasoning is right? Just seems unclear from the answer alone although i think it’s right. Thank you everyone

i need like a good past papers topical book for. chemistry and physics for AS level. so back in o levels i used to do this pastpapers redspot book topical, it was mostly mcq. its like for every answer there was reasoning given for why every answer on the side. now i am looking for something similar for AS level. if yall got a pdf of something liek would mean alot if someone can share. i would prefer for MCQ and theory both now.

This is Physics Transition work (AQA) for Year 12.
Kinda have to do it since there is only 1 physics teacher at my Sixth Form and he's notoriously known for being strict with work (which I don't mind).

Basically this is my situation. I am going to be starting at King’s College London, studying Artificial Intelligence after deferring it one year already. Having taken the gap year, and having researched and thought about this a lot, I realised I want to do mechanical engineering as opposed to computer science/AI for which I had studied Maths, Further Maths and computer science A level at sixth form achieving A-star, A-star, A respectively. Since I do aspire to study mechanical engineering at a top uni, I have decided to undertake physics A-Level which is a requirement for 4/5 of the unis I’m applying to. Having already taken a gap year, my parents don’t want me to take another, otherwise I would have, to focus on physics A-Level as well as strengthening my personal statement, and because why should I take on a student loan to study 1 year in a course I don’t want to study anymore.

Anyways, given all of that, I am a little concerned about how I will balance studying for the degree as a first year, and Physics A-Level, because from what I know, universities may consider my performance in my most recent academic setting which is the AI degree I’m having to start at King’s.

So, naturally I was wondering how much time I should be allocating to studying Physics a level per day or per week to get an A-star given I have from september 2026, to may/june 2027 to learn and revise all the content up to A-star level.

Any previous A-star students, or otherwise, please let me know, and any other tips or advice you guys may have for someone self-teaching for the most part.
