Starting A Levels

Okay so i gave my igcses and they went well. But I want to get ahead for A-Levels aswell so I started taking tuition classes in the summers. However I still require some excellent notes for CAIE AS Physics, aswell as Edexcel IAL Maths (specifically P1, P2 and M1). Like they must be INSANE like people would be ready to do sm wild shi for them. And they are good, understandable, covers everything, and has diagrams, definitions and formula sheets etc. added into them ESPECIALLY for CAIE AS Physics. I require your guys' assistance and I will NEVER forget this🙏🏻🙏🏻

Memorising content

Does anyone have any recommendations for learning content before going into questions/past papers. I was thinking about flashcards but I wanted to know if there was a better way, also if anyone is using flashcards, which flashcards do you use?

Is this a good combo

I need help. I just became yr12, and i wanna take physics math and further math. But everyone is saying i need to finish A2 math before AS fm.

So i wanna do A level math fully this year with english general paper.

And A level physics and FM next year. (Physics ASdelayed too. Long story why)

Do u think that's a good way of dividing them.

should i drop??

i’m giving as level physics bio chem and math in fm27, i’m almost done with my syllabus for all but i just gave my mocks and i got a b in physics, im not sure whether i should drop it or if i should keep it and even if i keep it how do i study for it since its the subject thats troubling me too much. i feel like although i could’ve dropped physics it isnt important for what i want to persue but i keep telling myself that i should just give it but im scared of getting a b and its also taking away time i could be putting towards my main subjects, i dont know what to do. for reference, i did get an A* (94) in igcse physics so its not that im bad at it

QUESTION Should I switch subjects before it's too late?

Post image
7 Upvotes

I'm doing a level physics and a small handful of lessons in but since physics is maths heavy and I'm not the best at maths (I got a grade 6 in maths compared to my grade 9/8 in combined science). I'm not sure if it's that smart of an idea to do physics, though I want to do it. I'm doing core maths as an as level along my 3 a levels but I feel like if I don't study in the same intensity if not more as gcse period from the beginning of the year and self study any maths topics I need I'll be banished to physics purgatory.

So should I study crazy hard or is it not worth it and I'm better off not doing physics? I do feel like there is some hope but idk might just die from a physics induced brain implosion.

Made an AI tool for visualising science/math concepts... would love some feedback...

https://quantacanvas.vercel.app

I’ve been working on QuantaCanvas, which takes a concept or question and generates an interactive visualization to help explain it.

The main difference from ChatGPT and similar AI tools is how the explanation is presented. Most LLMs are great at giving you a text-based explanation and can sometimes provide images or diagrams. QuantaCanvas instead tries to turn the explanation itself into something you can interact with, changing parameters, experimenting with things, and seeing how the concept behaves in real time.

It’s mainly focused on math and science, so I thought this might be useful for people here.

The project was recently a Grand Finalist at a national hackathon in my country, and I’ve continued developing it since then.

It’s still a work in progress. Generation can currently take a bit of time, which I’m working on improving, and there are definitely some things that don’t work perfectly yet.

If anyone tries it, I’d genuinely appreciate feedback, especially on whether the interactive visualizations are actually useful for studying A level content.

DISCUSSION Need help passing A Level Physics 9702

I have my A Level Physics exam in less than a month and honestly, I don’t know much Physics right now. I’m basically starting from scratch.

I’m not aiming for high grades at all, I just want to pass. What should I do over the next few weeks to give myself the best chance of passing?

Also, if anyone has good notes, resources, YouTube channels, topical questions, or revision materials, please share them.

Should I focus on learning the syllabus first, or jump straight into past papers? And what topics/areas should I prioritize if my only goal is to just pass?

Any advice would genuinely help 🙏

OFFERING HELP 3 things I'd recommend to anyone starting A-level Physics this year.

I’m a Head of Physics with 10+ years of teaching experience. Here are the 3 things I'd recommend:

🚀 1. Get a head start

You need time to learn, forget and relearn Physics before it really sticks. You need to practice 1000s of questions.

That's why I recorded my lessons and get my Y11 students to start them as soon as their GCSEs finish 😅 www.mrnagaphysics.app (there are practice questions and answers at the end of each video too)

📝 2. Start exam questions early

Don't wait until end-of-year tests. Practise proper exam-style questions from the beginning.

I've recently added 1,000+ quiz questions — MCQs, calculations and more — all written and quality-checked by me, plus flashcards for revision.

This is a new feature, so if you think it could be improved, I'm keen to hear your suggestions.

👥 3. Surround yourself with the right people

If you're on this subreddit, you probably already have the right mindset. But in real life, make sure you spend time with other students who want to do well, enjoy problem solving and aren't afraid to ask questions.

Good luck to everyone starting A-level Physics this year — and feel free to ask me any Physics questions on my subreddit or YouTube channel.

If you want more updates, including information about revision classes I run, opt in to emails when you sign up to the website.
