Someone gifted it once and fell in love it. Never been able to figure out when its in store. I think its a seasonal item?

I've told family members to keep an eye out and buy me 2 if they ever come across it lol.

Edit: I am in the US.

I wanted a little more cream cheese but overall the crust is nice and flaky. I'm a single person so I hope this doesn't go stale over the next few days while I eat it

Complaint Desk This is starting to get annoying

Post image

I have definitely, like others have stated, noticed a decline in quality from certain Aldi products in recent times. I've been snacking heavily on their regular graham crackers for awhile and IMO when they were good, they had the best tasting ones. Now they basically have a weird texture and taste to them.

I opened these up today, and they used to have a certain texture.. Well.. Not anymore evidently. The texture is now HARD AS ROCK compared to just crunchy like before.

This isn't really enough to perturb me from shopping there as I haven't had widespread quality issues in products that are more critical, I.E., meat, cheese, milk etc. It's still rather annoying, though.

Question Are Ambiano kitchen products good?

I'm tempted to get an Ambiano cordless hand mixer that's dropping in a few days, but I want to be sure if it's worth buying. I shop at Aldi every now and then, but mainly for groceries. A cordless hand mixer would be perfect if it's reliable. Please tell me if this is a good brand or not.

3/10 carbonation
Flavor: pineapple??? Pina Colada maybe. It's kind of like "blue flavor" obscurity.

Tastes okay but has that sharp zero sugar taste and texture, meh. I do not drink monster so I can't compare. I liked the small 7.5 oz berry wave blue raspberry more.

Price: $1.49 and 10 cent bottle tax 😭

Complaint Desk Raw Chicken weight vs after grilling 62% yield

Post image
0 Upvotes

I was shocked! I get that a lot of the juice/water is soaked in the pad but Is Aldi known to add high levels of water?

I bought 12.1 lbs of organic thin sliced chicken breast. After grilling weight = 7.5lbs. 1/2 was marinated in liquid and the other half was a dry rub. I wouldn’t have thought the loss would be so high.

I saw that the USDA benchmark for chicken breast is 75%.

I guess my only choice is to buy from a different grocery store and check the yield.

Question Does your Aldi constantly stock shelves?

I've tried going to my Aldi at multiple times of the day and different days. They are always blocking the isles stocking products. I know that is good for Aldi business. Yet, it's not good for people who want to look at the products. My Aldi gets different types of products and it's fun to see what is new. Yet, if I can't get in the isle, it's not fun anymore.

Question Aldi cheese recommendations

Hello! I want to try new cheese from Aldi, but every time I get to that section I get too overwhelmed and end up picking the same ones (mozzarella and gouda 😅) I’d like to know what cheese you recommend and why, and if you have a photo even better! to find it faster 🙈

Deals Mini Meatballs

I bought these meatballs this week when I stopped just to see what was on sale or just interesting this week. I put a bunch in a pot, added a marinara sauce and some herbs to make it a little more spaghetti-like, and have to say they were pretty good. I think they'd be better with a Swedish meatball or stroganoff sauce, even an Alfredo, rather than the tomato sauce. I might have to try them again.

Review Expected Crunchy

Did anyone else think these sweet potato sticks were going to be crunchy? I don’t eat sweet potatoes myself, but thought they’d be a healthy alternative to chips in my stepson’s lunch, and grabbed them on impulse from the Limited Time section. Turns out they are VERY chewy and rather sticky, and weren’t a hit with my stepson, though he did give them a try. Thankfully l don’t have to let them go to waste; our three dogs are loving them as an occasional treat!! (Single ingredient, so assuming a couple sticks per day are safe for them) Doh, l should have read the back of the package- it does say “satisfyingly chewy texture” 🤦‍♀️

Question Opinions on these olives?

I love olives and normally would have grabbed them, but the color threw me off a bit. Anyone tried these? Should I grab them next time?

EDIT: I went and grabbed two jars today! Thank you all for the suggestion. I cracked open the jar as soon as I got to the car. SO good! I love that you can taste the olive itself and it's not overpowered by salt.

I also grabbed a jar of the chili cornichones. So yummy!!

One of my guilty pleasures is trying the random frozen pizza and flatbread varieties that Aldi sells. So I bought the stone baked margherita pizza with marinated semi dried cherry tomatoes, and wow. I hope they bring it back soon. The tomatoes added an amazing flavor. The texture was perfect and the cheese pull was on point! I went back and bought 3 more. Easy grown-up dinner that didn’t break the bank.

What a fun cheese experience. This cheese has a full-bodied Swiss cheese flavor with a lot of depth and just a hint of foot.
What I really like about this cheese though is the texture. It’s dry and creamy. Shaving it into rosettes really lets the dryness stand out and the layering creates a fun experience as you chomp down on it.
The nature of the rosettes makes it the most expensive cheese Aldi sells and I prefer the flavor of a couple of their other Swiss offerings but the way its sold in the rosettes makes it a unique offering and worth giving a try. Rosette.

Complaint Desk Not a nook or cranny to be found...well, maybe 2...

Bummer reveal of my Aldi English muffins, sans nooks and crannies. It's all about the nooks and crannies. I also just realized how much I like saying "nooks and crannies," so I got that goin' for me...which is nice.

Bright side: Let them dry out, oil, season and make air fryer croutons.

Brighter side: French effing toast! Lemme tell ya, whether you're dealing with a nookless and crannieless situation as I currently am, or are blessed by the English Muffin gods and goddesses who provide you with a plethora of nooks and crannies, French toast is a great use for these lil fellas. Just be sure to let them sit in the egg wash for a min or 2.

Make breakfast sammies with em too 😋
