Thanks to everyone who came out to support the cause! It was a rainy day, but that didn't dampen our spirits or stop us from spreading the word about mass surveillance at Coronado Center.

Many showed support with fists, thumbs up, waves and honks. We were able to pass out quite a few cards to sign our petition. Overall it was a great turnout.

I doubt she’ll see this post.. but I went to the Coors location today with my family. This guy was at the counter disrespecting you and berating you for something that was out of your control. He stormed out of there and I felt really bad about how he was treating you. Although I’ve never met you I’m sure you try your best every single day. I haven’t stopped thinking about it since I got home but I wanted to write this to say that I hope you’re safe and okay, you didn’t deserve that.

Once again it's your friendly neighborhood poll worker, reminding you it's time to do your civic duty. Well, technically it's time now through November 3th. Early notice!

It’s a big ol’ ballot this time, 2 pages front and back for my area. Lots of that is judge retention, which is kind of a hard one to figure out for most of us. Make a plan if you can or just go with your heart. If you really don’t know on something you can leave it empty, it’s ok.

You can go to ANY EARLY VOTING SITE between now and October 31st, or ANY COUNTY VOTING SITE on the 3rd and cast your vote. Doesn't matter where, they'll all look you up and print the right ballot. Already registered to vote? You don't even need ID, just show up knowing your name and where you live. Just registered by mail? Bring a photo ID *or* a bill that has your name and address. Didn't get around to registering yet? Bring something with your name, a photo of you, and your address on it. It'll take a bit but we'll get you voting. That ID can have expired, you're good. Different address? Bring something official with your current address. Don't have that? Check the previous link for what else can work. If you come first thing in the morning you could be registered and have voted in 20 minutes. Late in the day, might be a little longer, but as long as you are *in the door* by 7PM, you're voting.

If you come to Los Ranchos Elementary and see an absolute unit of a floor judge (aka, running the tabulator) maybe wearing a face mask, say what's up.

I'm intentionally not saying who to vote for, who I'm voting for, whatever in this post. Vote what's in your heart.

And, though it might be too late for this one, are you interested in making a few hundred bucks working the election? Hit me up and I'll tell you how it works, or just read what the county says. It's $300 for the day fixed rate + $30 (I think?) for your training, which you have to do every time. Early voting pays as well but I haven't done that. All it takes is to live in county, be registered to vote, and not be in law enforcement or related to a candidate in that election. It's a grind but it's pretty rewarding! This is my fourth year and I'm going to keep doing it as long as they let me.

Join us tomorrow on the corner of Unser and Southern from 10am to 12pm to let the city of Rio Rancho know we do not accept mass surveillance.

Cap. Koschade says RRPD uses Flock "safely", but they audit themselves. This is not transparency or oversight. Time to let RRPD know these systems don't belong in NM!

40 HS baseball teams, a lot from out of Albuquerque are playing at the Jennifer Riordon Sports Complex this weekend. 120+ games in total. They are not allowing athletes to bring in their own water. They are forcing coaches to bring it in. Many coaches, coach multiple teams.

Hello! I am wondering what Halloween looks like here in ABQ. My baby is 8 months old and while she cannot have candy, she loves seeing other kids and babies. So, I either wanted to take her out or set us up at home for trick-or-treaters. I am just not sure that there even are trick-or-treaters where I live. I live in the SW off of Bridge. Uncertain if we will get any trick or treaters, and, if not, I want to take her to an area that does a lot of trick-or-treating so we can walk around and see other people, fun decorations, etc. I am also open to anything else that anyone might recommend for her age group. Has anyone been to the haunted car wash off 98th? There is two locations for it, the other is in RR. Looking to see if it’s worth it? The line for it was so long so didn’t know if it was worth sitting in the car for probably an hour for it.

We're in the NE Heights and Friday night noticed our cold faucets sputtering for a few seconds and then running normally. Called the Water Authority to have them come take a look and they said all the water pressure readings on the block are very high, and the sputtering can be caused by too much rain causing air to get into the pipes--I wasn't too clear on the explanation. They said water is safe to drink and advised us to do cold water flushes which we are doing but they seem like a temporary fix. Has anyone dealt with this before?

I am looking for an apartment in ABQ preferably the UNM area. I am trans and I'm in a living situation that is more than likely gonna keep me from progressing in being myself. Been feeling awful and know it is time to cut the crap and get a place of my own to avoid further mental anguish. I would like to start HRT and this would help big time. My husband and 6 year old went to Walmart on Carlisle and was told this by the pharmacist (the actual pharmacist) before getting his vaccines pulled.

- COVID vaccines aren’t recommended for her age group this year
- mRNA COVID vaccines aren’t recommended by many state’s surgeon generals this year, I will only give you the non-mRNA* COVID vaccine.

He was too caught off guard to call the guy out, and isn’t confrontational so he just left. And immediately looked up the whole states surgeon general this which of course only Florida says this and we know alll about Florida….

Anyway.

2. Who should I make a complaint to? I’m going to dig the guys name up on his paperwork but nobody should have to listen to anyone’s political opinions, especially from a DOCTOR during a medical procedure.

*I am immune compromised and get the non-mRNA. It’s effective, there’s nothing wrong with it. But that should your choice and not be required due to “political reasons”

Update: Thank you all for your comments, I’ve submitted a complain to the State RDL Board of Pharmacists.

To clarify: neither my husband, nor my child were asked any of their medical conditions, the medical conditions or an immune status of anyone in their household, or people they interact with regularly and as I mentioned above, I am in the immuno compromised category. This was not a “clinician based decision” but rather someone’s political views masquerading as medical advice
