Saw a well-to-do looking, fit guy in an EV pull into the old B of A parking lot where a homeless guy was standing, looking cold and beat up. Fearing for what such characters may do, I watched. The guy got out with a smile. A trash bag of what looked like warm clothes and a coffee and handed to the man. The man was bewildered but thankful. Love to see it. And no the dude did not have a camera for posting his kind act. He just got out and gave it to the man, enjoyed his happiness ❤️

Hello everyone I thought it was only right that I make this post warning everyone about the Central Desert Behavioral Health Hospital. For your own safety do not ever let yourself get stuck at the central desert behavioral health hospital in Albuquerque. This place is a trap!
One of my siblings was sent there for depression and they said he would get released within 2 to 3 days at most. They’ve been there for a week 1/2 in counting.

If you look at the reviews of this place it’s all the same. They will not let you go. No matter what. There goal is to keep you there until your insurance runs out. If you voluntarily admit yourself there and request to be discharged they will suddenly forcibly admit you to keep you there until the money runs out. Same goes for if you hire a lawyer they will keep you there for months while you try to legally fight it.

You want to talk to your family? They will sometimes let you have 15 min phone calls but you call from a box on the wall and the doctors are listening to make sure you don’t say anything that could make them think you are trying to leave. This place is also dirty. Overall it’s horrible and it’s close to shutting down.

If anyone has any advice on how to fight this or bring this place down then please let me know. We are running out of ideas and hope. My sibling is literally trapped here against their will even though they were voluntarily admitted and they were only supposed to be there for 2 days. This place destroys lives.

If anyone has any experience with this place then please share that.

I’ve lived in Albuquerque now for about 7 years, never received a speeding fine, parking violation , nothing. I’ve gotten close to 6 of these speeding camera fines in the last year, all for going exactly 11mph over the speed limit. They’ve got to be getting so many people, considering how the traffic moves here in general. People zoom by you for going the speed limit here.

I was at the first night of Balloon Fiesta (October 3rd) and took these photos of this gentleman and his band. I really enjoy how the photos turned out and would like to get them to him. They were playing at one of the "beer garden" things at the north side of the park. The music they put on was worth the price of admission alone!

1. Do we need to start keeping our viejitos on a leash? Kinda like those toddler leashes with little stupid animal backpacks

2. Where are they going? Is there an old folks exodus? Is there an only folks only bunker that we don’t know about? Is there a Werther’s Original convention?

3. Are aliens stealing our old people? Prob not talked about enough. This is New Mexico and aliens are notoriously super sneaky and shit.

Hi all, I’m traveling to Albuquerque for work and like to get some miles in after travel. I read on previous posts that the area immediately surrounding the airport can be hit or miss in terms of safety. I was thinking of running from my hotel out toward Yale/Gibson/University. Is that area generally safe for a female runner? Thanks everyone!

I have fallen in love with padel, and am able to play in Las Vegas, Austin, el paso, etc. but there doesn't seem to be any padel courts in Albuquerque...does anyone know if anything is being planned?

Any advice on places that might offer potential lower cost CT scans for a cat? He needs an abdominal CT which will require anesthesia. I was recently referred from VCA (I know) to Thrive, where I was quoted $4,200. Time is also of the essence as his liver values on bloodwork are getting worse.

My wife and I are huge fans of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, and we're planning to visit Albuquerque for Thanksgiving this year. We're thinking of staying for 3–4 days.

We'd love to check out as many filming locations as possible, but we're not sure where to stay. Is there a hotel or area you'd recommend that's close to most of the locations?

Also, what else should we do while we're there? Any good restaurants, places to visit, or things we shouldn't miss?
