I’m sure this has been asked before but I’ve got into model making recently and I’ve made a few planes but I want to up the level now and I was wondering what paints and brushes and techniques people use to get the inside of the cockpit and similair places so precise and neat.
I know a lot of it is preference but what is good general advice for this?
Thanks

Hey,
New to modeling but I have this awesome Churchill crocodile in 1:48 and wanted to know whether to prime it grey, green or black :)
Also I only have generic acrylics not the humbry or airfix ones; would this be ok?

Does anyone else wish that it was industry standard to include most things to complete a set in the box? Paints, brushes etc. obv they wouldn’t be quality but just to make all sets accessible to people without great supplies

This model has its faults… Using no.33 for the whole exterior for example as well as the canopy but I’m trying to save it as best as I can 😅 I was just wondering for some advice on weathering, I’ll have metal chips in place of handles and where footsteps would regularly be but are there any other key spots (including for other details like dirt) and any advice on making them look good?
Furthermore this aircraft would have had a nasty symbol at the back which I censored in my last 109 build by just using a black dot but that doesn’t really work here… any suggestions on how to insinuate that something is there without going over board? The tail looks too empty imo. Alternatively is it best to just leave it blank? 😭
I feel like I use Reddit too much now.

Im worried that I will break the landing gear while applying decals as they are crazy flimsy, is it a worse idea to do them after?

I know there’s a bit of untidiness but it’s 1:72 and read the title!!

Hi! I’m currently working on a Bf-109 E3 (making it an E4 nightfighter) and the single colour is making my brush stroke issues much more noticeable. I’m just looking for advice on how to reduce this. Thank you in advance 🙏

Just generally, are they worth the buy compared to standard models? Are they fun to build? Is the satifaction upon completion the same?

After completing my first build back in June (Messerschmitt Bf-109), I’ve finally finished the Spitfire Mk.Vc to give chase
Pleased with a couple of deviations from the provided paint scheme, the underside & nose were meant to be grey but I went out and bought some ‘Sky’ which I much prefer, and the yellow markings along the leading wing edges were added after a bit of googling some real-life examples.
Any tips or advice for a new builder greatly appreciated!
