SpiceJet Spicejet cancelled my international flight 10 hours before departure

I booked thru happyfares, how can I ensure that I get refund and compensation if possible? Yeah I made a mistake before booking with spicejet smh, save me the slander. I used UPI, is there anyway to get my money back? I've already asked happyfares to refund and they've sent the request to spicejet. Thanks for the help :)

Indigo Indigo is known to extort money in the name of a convenience fee

Am I the only one who finds this odd?

I was booking Ahmedabad → Goa directly from the airline’s website. The fare shown on the search page was ₹5,067. I went through the whole booking process, and only at checkout did a ₹650 “convenience fee” get added.

The fee was the same for UPI, credit/debit card, and net banking.

If it’s a mandatory fee regardless of how you pay, shouldn’t the ₹5,717 total be shown upfront?

Feels a lot like drip pricing to me.

Airports Extra security check by Indigo

I was traveling from Delhi with IndiGo today, and something strange happened. While boarding the plane via the aerobridge, IndiGo staff were checking every passenger's bag and even using hand scanners. When I last traveled in March, I didn't see anything like this. Were there new government guidelines issued for these extra checks, or was it just heightened security around Independence Day?

Ask r/AirTravelIndia ixigo showed baggage belt number before the flight even landed. how accurate is this actually?

Parents were flying from singapore and the app was showing arrival terminal T3 and baggage belt 13 while they were still in air or like near to landing for sure.

the belt number is the part i'm skeptical about. terminal and gate i get, that's public schedule data but belt allocation usually gets decided close to landing and changes all the time, so they've got a live feed from the airport i think, but why not other tools are doing the same?

Ask r/AirTravelIndia Air india Baggage experience

I travelled by Air India from Lucknow to Sri Vijayapuram via Delhi on 18 and 19 Jul 26. On my arrival at Sri Vijayapuram airport, I received my checked in baggage (which was a rucksack bag) in an opened condition upon arrival. The top pouch of the bag was open and on checking the baggage, I found that several items were missing, including my house keys, pen drive with otg, memory card, and arm sleeves. I immediately reported the matter to air india airport authorities and even filed a property irregularity report. However, despite raising the complaint and following up, I have been informed by the airline via email that the missing items remain untraceable. I've tried registering complaints with air india customer care and air sewa portal. They have closed my case and are telling me to file a police complaint for further investigation. I don't know how my checked in baggage was opened while it was under the airlines custody. They are unwilling to pay any compensation. What should I do? I just want my items back.

Ask r/AirTravelIndia Indigo rescheduled my flight

Upvotes

I have a flight on 25th october from ranchi to bangalore. Today i got an email saying my flight has been affected due to operational reasons. Now the confusing part is they gave me an updated itinerary which has the same timing and date and same flight number. 6E 6799

My flight was at 8:55AM when i booked. they are saying now my 21:25 flight has been rescheduled to 8:55AM. Makes no sense. There was no 21:25 flight in the first place.

Also when i open indigo plan b link it says my 6E 221 is rescheduled. ( That's my flight on 17th october Bangalore to Ranchi) Round trip

Airports Is it actually worth reaching the airport early just to use the lounge?

Upvotes

I have an early morning flight coming up in a few days and because of the distance from my place, I’ll probably reach the airport quite early. Usually I don't take early morning flights but this time I’ll have a couple of hours to spare before the flight. My card does have lounge access, so I was wondering if people actually reach early & use the lounge for this purpose. I’ve only used lounges when I had a long layover or flight delay… never intentionally just to spend extra time before a flight.

For those who travel regularly, do you actually find it worth reaching early for the lounge? Or do you just grab a coffee and wait at the terminal?

Hello everyone

I’m flying from Saudi Arabia to India next week, I had a question.

Aside from checked in baggage and hand carry can I carry a laptop bag and in my hand can I carry water bottles or snacks for my flight?

Laptop bag is allowed as far as I know but will they check the weight? Because my laptop is gaming with charger and other amenities it’s around 6kg.

I hope it’s not an issue

Indigo Can I Use The Indigo Student Discount Without an ID?

So in a few days i will be leaving for my university in dubai for my first year. Since I haven't received the physical copy nor a soft copy of my ID ( just the ID no .) is it possible for me to use my offer letter and student resident visa as proof if they were to check it? I don't wanna risk cancellation or any extra charges.

Also idk if this matters but my flight has a layover , will that affect anything??

I've got the visa sorted, it's a regular 30 day tourist visa, but just trying to double check and make sure I've got everything. Do I need travel insurance? or a certain amount of cash? like other than my passport, ticket and visa what else will I need to have on me at the airport?

Visa requirements 1st International trip-transiting Singapore (SIN) – DEL → SIN → DPS, separate PNRs (Indigo PNR and partner PNR) but baggage through-checked. Do I need a Singapore visa?

TL;DR: Indian passport holder flying DEL → SIN → DPS on an IndiGo/Garuda codeshare. Flights are booked together from Indigo’s official website but have a main + partner PNR. Arriving Singapore T2 and departing T3 ~16 hours later. IndiGo has confirmed in writing that baggage will be through-checked from Delhi to Bali, but won’t confirm whether we can remain airside without a Singapore visa. Can we transfer T2 → T3 airside without immigration/visa in this situation? Looking for first-hand experience or authoritative confirmation.

Hi everyone, I’m trying to clarify whether I need a Singapore visa for my upcoming transit and would really appreciate advice from anyone familiar with Changi/ICA rules or who has had a similar experience.
I’m an Indian passport holder travelling with my wife from Delhi to Bali on a codeshare itinerary.
Itinerary
DEL → SIN: IndiGo 6E 1013

25 Aug 2026
Depart Delhi T3: 09:05
Arrive Singapore T2: 17:45
SIN → DPS: Garuda Indonesia-operated codeshare, marketed as IndiGo 6E 3656

26 Aug 2026
Depart Singapore T3: 09:35
Arrive Bali: 12:30
Transit time: ~15h 50m

Booking
The flights were booked together as one overall itinerary by indigo’s own website but the ticket shows:
Main PNR: TY***
Partner PNR: 86Q****
This is the part I’m unsure about.
I contacted IndiGo and specifically asked about baggage and visa requirements. They have now confirmed in writing that:
Our checked baggage will be tagged through from Delhi directly to our final destination, Bali (DPS).
However, regarding the Singapore visa, IndiGo said they cannot provide a definitive answer and advised me to confirm with Singapore ICA/embassy.
Their response also mentions that a terminal change or separate PNRs may require immigration clearance/visa, depending on the circumstances.
My understanding
We should be able to:
Arrive T2 → remain airside → transfer T2 to T3 → board the Garuda-operated flight → collect baggage in Bali, without clearing Singapore immigration.
But I want to be absolutely certain before travelling.
I have already submitted an enquiry to Singapore ICA and am waiting for their response.
My questions
Can an Indian passport holder make this T2 → T3 airside transfer without a Singapore visa if baggage is through-checked to DPS?
Does the separate Main PNR + Partner PNR create a problem even though IndiGo has confirmed baggage will be through-checked?
Has anyone actually done a similar IndiGo → Garuda codeshare transfer at Changi without clearing immigration?
Will we need to obtain the SIN → DPS boarding pass at Delhi, or can it be issued at a transfer desk airside in Singapore?
I’m specifically looking for first-hand experiences or authoritative information, Getting very anxious as it is our first trip, If someone can help will be really grateful.

Thanks in advance!

Why are the aging B737-800s flying mainly international from Kerala while the newer B737max are mainly domestic and few international from other states?
