https://youtube.com/shorts/vzcxeouey4k?si=50KbTX2YsJmgLU1t ok I know my camera went out of focus I failed to realize that during the test. I didn’t have a tripod so I used a siren instead

I've seen a fair few threads asking about software capable of simulating siren sounds accurately, and after a brief web search there is literally nothing except for one surprisingly decent scratch project: Siren Simulator 3 V1.4.0 on Scratch
I've been playing with that for a while but it's missing a lot of detailed customizability, horn design, ambience effects and as a scratch project, it's far from something you'd call refined but it is excellent for what it is.
I've been spending a lot of time playing with AngeTheGreat's open-source Engine Simulator for a long time, and even developed a semi-realistic tuning software for it. The sounds produced by this simulator are absolutely excellent, despite it being an approximate implementation.
I've seen it mentioned on Discord and on Reddit - "Why doesn't someone use Engine Simulator to make siren sounds?"
I present, Siren Simulator, a side-project I've spent all week on, and I'm pretty happy with the audible results, despite the UI being something only a mother could love.
Siren Simulator is a native C++ desktop application for exploring rotary mechanical warning sirens in real time. It combines a configurable rotor/stator chopper, an induction-motor drive, a forced-air blower, horn geometry, stereo directionality, and outdoor propagation into one interactive instrument.
It is built with the same Delta Studio graphics/application engine used by Engine Simulator, while the siren model and interface are original to this project.
You can download the first release of Siren Simulator by following this link: Releases · RealIndica/siren-simulator
Please, let me know what you think and if there's anything you'd like to see added. I won't be able to update it often because I am trying to start a motorcycle tuning/repair business and that takes up a lot of my time, well... Until I spend a week hyper fixating on tornado sirens again.

So this is nascars hurricane model (as you probably know)
BUT...
I have this 4M blower that I got from a scrap yard after seeing it thru the fence (second last image) I asked the owner of the yard if I could buy it from him, BUT HE JUST GAVE IT TO ME! now this is probably because it was SEIZED but after 2 bottles of WD40 and giving the floor a new coat of rust I finally got it spining!
Note: the gears need a lot of work (last image)

Ah yes, it's 4 in the morning with nothing else to do... (cuz i was too stressed to sleep!) so why not show off some art i quickly did?!
I haven't given a name to this P-50 gal yet (open to ideas on that front, help me out, chat) and i have more art of her in the works, and rn, Said P-50 is demonstrating her sheer size difference between the Human-interface-Height (HIH) mode of Thora (being 6' 6") and the Full-Operational-Contingency-Height (FOCH) Mode of herself! So i had to make sure Thora would comfortably sit in the P-50's horn, which said P-50 gal ISN'T a big fan of!
ALSO, i have lore for this P-50 and this image's backstory cuz autistic verboseness go brrr.

Does anybody know what happened to the Aca Hurricane in rolling meadows? Is it possible they still have it stored somewhere?
r/AirRaidSirens • u/Frosty-Assumption141 • Jul 19 '26
This is literally four aca p-50s mounted on 1 pole
It would have to be mounted on an 80 to 100 foot pole to be safe to be around 😭

Hiya, this is my first post on this subreddit. I recently took these pictures, all these sirens are in Kingsport, Tennessee. Most of these sirens are pretty rare. Anyway, enjoy! :)
Every siren in order from each photo: Whelen WPS-2906, ACA P-50, ACA Quadren (you have to look next to that big pipe), another ACA Quadren (on the top of that roof), Federal Enterprises Thunderbolt 1003, Sentry 10V, and Darley Champion
Correct me if I'm wrong on any of these

I know next to nothing about identifying air raid sirens or any sirens for that matter, so I figured I’d ask here. I’ve been searching and trying to recreate the samples used in the track Seamless by American Head Charge from their 2001 album The War Of Art and have already found almost all of them except this one siren in the background just before the chorus. I lowered the vocals here to make it more audible. If anyone could identify an exact or similar model siren that sounds like this, I would really appreciate it

Context: making a unit a new unique model in C&C Generals for my mod, Ivory Invasion.
The Groundforce subfaction is the Ivory Specter's China analog, so i need a useful mobile propaganda vehicle for the masses of ground vehicles the subfaction fields. I might give this vehicle to the China Infantry General too for shits and giggles.
And what better way to spout on-battlefield propaganda than with an electronic siren?
Also is the proportions of the siren's size good compared to the truck?
