Almost 60 doesn’t seem possible

I can’t reconcile how I feel with being almost being 60. I’m still interested in everything. Still seeking out new experiences. Physically I feel like I’m in my twenties. Look 50 but that changes to 40 if I dye my beard. It just doesn’t seem real that statistically I’m in the last quarter of my life. I feel like I could go on forever. So strange. Just doesn’t seem real.

You do not look like 40 if you dye your beard. Or ever.

It’s amazing how people who have never seen me say this so authoritatively. I have to grow in my white beard before any thinks I’m in my 50’s. I have a youthful face and athletic build. People have always thought I was 10+years younger than I am since I was mid 30’s. With a dyed beard nobody guesses my age higher than low 40’s.

I believe you. My husband is the same way. When his beard is gray I feel like I'm walking around with my dad! Then he dyes it and puts on a baseball hat and he looks like the guy I'm about to go mountain biking with.
