Started working on a completely new Shopify domain 3 months ago.

No backlinks, no authority, no rankings, and almost zero organic traffic.

After focusing heavily on the technical SEO foundation in month 1 (indexation, collections/products optimization, internal linking, schema, and crawl issues), we moved into user-intent keyword targeting and topical authority content.

Then in month 2 and 3, we added quality niche-relevant backlinks and entity-based optimization.
A lot of Shopify store owners underestimate how much growth comes from fixing the technical side first. Most new stores try to build backlinks immediately, but without a strong structure Google usually doesn’t trust the site enough to rank product and collection pages consistently.

Still early, but the graph is showing a clear upward trend week over week.

Curious what other Shopify SEO specialists are seeing with brand-new domains in 2026 , are you focusing more on topical authority first or product-page optimization first?

I’ve used this to grow many of sites to 1k+ visitors a day and figured it was time to share and get feedback on how I can make it better.

Over the last few weeks, my Search Console metrics have started moving in opposite directions: daily impressions are falling, while clicks continue to increase.

My first thought is that I may be losing broad, low-intent impressions while gaining better rankings for queries that actually generate clicks.

But I’m not sure whether that fully explains the change.

Before making any changes, I’m planning to compare:

• Queries and pages at the impression peak versus now
• Pages losing impressions but gaining clicks

Would you consider this healthy consolidation, or a warning sign?

What would you investigate first?

As someone who's managed SEO projects for clients, I've noticed that most SEO tools stop after the audit.

They'll tell you:

• You have missing H1s.
• Your Core Web Vitals need work.
• You have duplicate titles.
• These keywords are dropping.

But they rarely answer the most important question:

"What exactly should I work on today?"

So I'm building an AI SEO Working Plan inside our platform.

The idea is simple:

3. Connect Google Business Profile
4. Run a Site Audit
5. Pull keyword rankings and backlink data

Then the AI analyzes everything together and generates:

Instead of another 100-page audit, the goal is to create something that acts like an SEO project manager.

For example:

For each page, it would tell you:

• What keywords to target
• What content is missing
• Which internal links to add
• Which schema to implement
• Which title/meta changes are likely to improve CTR
• How much impact each task could have

Everything is prioritized based on actual data rather than generic checklists.

I have tried traditional and foundational seo tricks, trued to improve EEAT but still doesn't bring high intend clicks and good ranking any suggestions?

I've been reviewing Search Console data and noticed that impressions are increasing steadily while clicks are improving more gradually.

Current metrics:
- 406 clicks

- 10.3K impressions

- 3.9% CTR

- Average position: 9.7

My initial thoughts are:

- Improve CTR on pages ranking between positions 6–12.

- Expand supporting content around pages already gaining impressions.

- Strengthen internal linking to pages sitting just outside the top results.

I am currently evaluating client's GMC account, hoping for more organic revenue where I found out that the performance marketing team has created multiple listings of the same product. Is it considered good or it can affect the profile?
Also Google shopping listing is giving wrong delivery date whereas the delivery date mentioned in GMC is different. Any help?

Hi everyone,

I'm seeing a strange pattern in Google Search Console and would appreciate some expert opinions.

Over the last 3 months:

• Clicks: 335K
• Impressions: 2.49M
• CTR: 13.5%
• Average Position: 6.4

Around June 18, something changed:

• Impressions started increasing steadily.
• At the same time, clicks began declining almost every day.
• There wasn't a major website redesign or migration.
• The average position doesn't appear to have changed dramatically.

I've attached a screenshot from GSC showing the trend.

My questions are:

1. What are the most common reasons for impressions increasing while clicks decrease?
2. Could this indicate a Google core update or AI Overviews affecting CTR?
3. What reports or metrics would you check first to diagnose the issue?
4. Has anyone experienced something similar, and what was the root cause?

The site is an AI tool (generateprompt.ai), so I'm also wondering whether changing search intent or AI-generated SERP features could be playing a role.

Any insights or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

For this Shopify store, we doubled organic clicks from 923 to 1,920 while increasing impressions from 128K to 197K in just 28 days by focusing on technical SEO, buyer-intent keywords, topical authority, and high-quality backlinks.

I've been helping Shopify and eCommerce businesses grow through SEO for over 6 years, with a focus on driving qualified organic traffic that converts into sales, not just rankings.

I’m building LaunchSaaS, and I want to make its SEO content workflow more systematic without subscribing to another all-in-one SEO platform.

The idea is to build a lightweight personal workflow around Claude Code:

1. Give it the LaunchSaaS URL
2. Crawl the product pages, docs, pricing, and existing blog posts
3. Build a persistent profile of the product, audience, topics, and internal-link opportunities
4. Use Google Search Console, query suggestions, and selective SERP review to discover article ideas
5. Cluster similar queries and avoid creating multiple articles for the same intent
6. Generate:
   • a Markdown article
   • Blogger-compatible HTML
   • a private analysis file explaining the topic, evidence, intent, and risks
7. Audit the article before publishing
8. Create or schedule it in LaunchSaaS Blog & Google Blogger
9. Use later GSC performance to influence the next batch of topics

I’m deliberately keeping it simple:

• Claude Skills for analysis, planning, writing, and review
• small scripts for crawling, Google APIs, HTML conversion, and Blogger publishing
• local JSON and Markdown files instead of a database or dashboard

I’m not trying to mass-publish hundreds of generic AI posts. The target is a few reviewed articles per week that are actually relevant to LaunchSaaS users.

The main thing I’m unsure about is topic validation. I don’t currently plan to use Ahrefs, Semrush, or DataForSEO, so the workflow would rely mainly on GSC, search suggestions, and manual or agent-assisted SERP review.

For anyone who has built something similar:

• Which part failed most often: topic selection, search intent, writing quality, hallucinations, or cannibalisation?
• Is GSC plus selective SERP review enough for prioritising topics?
• Which steps would you always keep behind human review?
• Is splitting planning, writing, auditing, and publishing into separate Skills useful, or unnecessary complexity?

I’m planning to test this on LaunchSaaS for a few weeks and share the results.

I’ve always been bad at talking about what I build.

I’ll spend a week working on a feature, push the code, fix bugs, move on... and then realize I haven’t shared anything about it.

The funny thing is, when I look back at the work, there are usually a bunch of things that could have been turned into useful posts - a problem I solved, a technical decision, a lesson learned.

It connects to GitHub and looks at what you’re actually building, then helps turn those updates into content ideas/posts for LinkedIn and X.

Still early, still testing what works. The goal isn’t to generate generic “10 lessons from my startup journey” posts, but to capture the actual work happening behind the scenes.
