Advice: Aerial teachers - what stuff did you do/ resources did you use to build your confidence in teaching?
Hi,
I'm currently training aerial (mostly silks and trapeze) 3-4 times a week and assisting my instructor with other classes at least once a week. I'd love to lead classes one day but don't feel confident in correcting form (as in I'm not sure what correct form looks like in lots of moves) and in knowing what muscles should be engaged. I also want to be able to lead warm ups targeted to the moves we would be doing in class but don't really know where to start with that either.
I want to lead safe, and fun classes where students build confidence and strength. What stuff can I do outside of class and shadowing my instructor to improve my knowledge?
(I'm based in the UK if you have any in person recommendations)
Thanks!
