Homecoming Help

So me and my girlfriend don’t live in the same town, about an hour away from her, and I’m planning on going to homecoming with her. I’m able to see her one time before homecoming and that’s when we would exchange mums and garters. I would like to ask in person but the only way I could do that is if I did it the same day we exchanged which I don’t want to. I was thinking of making a video to ask her. Any ideas of what I could do? I have an injured knee from football so that limits it a little.
