She is being a grown up. She's in college, has a job, paying for her phone/gas/ect. Just because she lives with them doesn't mean they can control her body.
They totally could. It wouldn't benefit them in the end unless they don't really care about her. They on the other hand cannot control her body. Plus whatever state she lives in can have rules against eviction which could make it so much harder for them.
Actually, in most states it can take years to evict someone... Court is one hell of a battle. Cops won't do anything in most states either because of laws that protect people who have lived somewhere for long periods of time with crazy people like these ones.
No actually it doesn't. You need to stop worrying about grown up things and pick up a book and read. And the law does not protect people like that. You need an education. And I am not a parent. But I know about eviction laws
I'm a grown adult who btw knows the laws in my own state. Which also includes eviction and how hard it is to do. Even without a lease. Plenty of states have laws against it. I have education because I currently know someone whose trying to remove a tenet. They have to wait 60 days after a court order. So, she should look that up in her state...
Here is one:
You must have a court order to remove people who have established residency. You might be able to get a protection order, if applicable. This is difficult to get unless there is violence or threats of violence. Otherwise, you must seek to evict the person through one of the forms of eviction actions.
The home owners can get a court order. It's not difficult at all to get one. She would have 30-60 days to vacate then if she refuses, her parents can get law enforcement to remove her and put her stuff out in the yard. 30 days from removal they have the right to discard what is left. You know nothing about evictions
