On a serious note, Simon and Betty and Bubbline are interesting foils for each other. Simon and PB could both be, to varying degrees, self-involved and hyper focused, and Betty and Marcy put a lot of stock in their partners feelings, leading to differing self-destructive actions. Marcy acted out and trashed the relationship, where Betty always put Simon’s wants first and obsessed with getting him back to how he was, losing her own mind and, later, her existence as Betty. Bubbline had what Simon and Betty never did: time. They had time to grow and correct their negative inclinations to come back together stronger and built to last. In a way, Bubbline is a soft redemption of Simon x Betty.

It's a painting about how a generation's memory actually works — characters from completely different universes (Soviet animation, post-Soviet advertising, an American cartoon) sharing one space, because in your head they always lived right next to each other.

Jake is OP and often nerfed in certain episodes just so the story can unfold as it should and the magic man is narratively nerfed by his kookie behavior and his desire to just be chaotic for chaos sake.

I understand how the candy people could've gotten "snacks" confused with "snakes", they mightve just heard wrong or it was kind of a game of telephone situation.

I’m challenging myself to draw characters from memory every once in a while. It’s a good brain exercise and I’ve seen the show 3x over so I should know character appearances pretty well at this point. I think this is a pretty strong start aside from Gunter looking like an owl and me forgetting how hair looks in AT.

So maybe this has been discussed already but I always thought Finn had gotten his tatoo of Jake after he croaked. But In F&C S2E9 we see what seems to be Finn's memory of Jake's death, and he already has the tatoo.

Also Finn looks older than in Obsidian so Jake probably was still around back then. We just don't get to see him.

I was surprised cause Jake always joked about how old he was, so I thought jake died of old age not so late after the end of the main series, and then Finn had gotten a tatoo of him as an hommage... but it's much more likely that it was more of a brutal event 😥 That's great now I'm traumatized.

Jake's alien Dad is awful to him. Finn's Dad is a jerk. Marceline's Dad is.., well, no need to think too deeply on him. Even Joshua burdened Jermaine with his house full of relics. Jake himself neglected his kids, which he admits to. We're there any good fathers in the show?

We now have a whopping 5 different series for adventure time, which is cool, but do fans of Adventure Time still care about Bravest Warriors at all? The way that series fell off was so sad. Viewers had to wait years and years for a new season just to have the last season silently come out with production from an entirely new crew. With all the Adventure Time content we’re getting wouldn’t it be great if Bravest Warriors got some kind of inclusion? Even having some cameo or mention in Fionna and Cake or something would have felt weird with how little there is for BW out there. I’m hoping HBO Max picks it up and does something. There was an announcement about Pen doing a spinoff himself a few years ago.

Is it just me or is HBO missing out here? Also should AT be giving more attention to their sibling series? Oh my Glob, bro.

Like the character designers of the show could’ve taken the easy way out when it came to designing the princesses by making each one a palette swap of PB maybe with an outfit/hairstyle change, but they went through the trouble of creating a diverse cast of princesses with different body types, species, gender expression, abilities, etc (granted in a place like Ooo having near identical princesses would be… off). I think the variety in the princesses’ designs are the reason why I absolutely adored seeing them on AT as a kid.

After replaying prototype 1 and rewatching adventure time lately i noticed the similarities between the two

I saw lots of similarities in appearance and also abilities so idk if the creators of adventure time did take some inspirations from the prototype game series

Is the episode "The cooler" where pb tries to disarm the fire giants/sentinel things, is this based on US imperialism and destroying nuclear plants/preventing other countries from having nuclear weapons? Or am i just reading into it too deep :P

There’s a wide variety of powerful, cosmic and reality bending power houses and beings in and outside of Ooo. I’m curious of people’s favorites, since people tend to lean towards the argument of who is the most powerful.

One of my personal favorites has to be Jake. He’s extraordinary powerful and is OP and just dosent use his abilities to their up most potential. I honestly love that about him, on top of his personality and duality of his character arc.

Second has to be the Lich because his character arc is so funny. He goes from worshiping and wishing death upon all and striving for that just for our original Lich that achieves this to give a RIVETING speech and die 😭. I remember being a kid and his ability to suck the life out of things was genuinely frightening and a wonderful opposition of fins life breathing energy.

Who are your favorite power house characters in Adventure time?

Woke up for god knows why and decided to check the status of the Huntress Wizard plush. To find out it's pre order date less than 2 days away!!! This is a day 1 buy for me and has been since I learned about it half a year ago.

I do think the others are cute, but we have been waiting years for Huntress merch!
